Qiao Moyu tilted the corner of her lips up. “Ok. I think that I won’t fail at this either!”
She hung up and walked out of the bathroom. At the door of the private room, Qiao Moyu saw the second female lead who was about to pick a call up. She looked at Qiao Moyu and faintly smiled at her. They had greeted each other in a sense. At least on the surface, there was no problem.
But people with sharp eyes would notice that the Director and staff cared for Qiao Moyu more than usual recently. This was similar to the second female lead from before.
Plus, the second female lead suddenly resorted to being low-profiled. As long as there wasn’t a scene in her, she would be reading through the script in a certain corner or not come. This was completely different from how she tried to draw attention to herself everywhere from before!
Everyone present were all wise people. They had tacit mutual understanding. And the people who came to chat with Qiao Moyu increased.Someone teased her. “Moyu, I heard that you can bless people. When our movie screens, you need to bless us!”
Qiao Moyu smiled and said, “Ok! But it’s all just my luck. You can’t really believe in these things.”
Actually, many of the people present right now didn’t really believe this. After all, those who had succeeded had the power to from the start. So people felt like success was only for prepared people.
The filming went by successfully for the next few days. Everyone wanted to go home when it was New Year’s. Therefore, they all worked hard. Even if the filming went into midnight, they never complained.
This was one of Qiao Moyu’s relaxing days. Thinking that the day was still early and the guest house wasn’t far from the filming location, she decided to walk over slowly. She greeted her assistant, Xiao Su, and wanted her to bring her clothes and drive her car back. Then she followed the path and walked while listening to music.
But while crossing through a narrow alley, Qiao Moyu felt something was wrong.
She took off her earbuds and noticed two to three burly chaps walking out from either sides of the alley, surrounding her.She knitted her eyebrows and looked at them. “Who are you guys?”
The chaps didn’t answer her. They gave each other a look and reached over to grab Qiao Moyu.
Qiao Moyu learned martial arts so the moment they surrounded her, she kicked the man across her.
There was no time for him to duck so he stumbled a few steps back from the kick. He cursed and ran over.
Qiao Moyu’s heart sunk.
She knew very well that her strength was enough to break two of his ribs, but that only applied to kicking.
Plus, she clearly felt herself losing strength as she made a move!
So, someone had touched her water?
Qiao Moyu suddenly thought of a few mass actors in the crew today. It seemed like someone had mingled amongst them and slipped a drug.
Then who did this? Her gut feeling was that it shouldn’t be the second female lead because she was the type who bullied the weak and was scared of the strong. After knowing Qiao Moyu’s power, she probably wouldn’t dare to make a move.
But who else then?
While she was considering this, the surrounding men blocked her way. In the fight, they took Qiao Moyu’s bag. Her phone was in there so she couldn’t call for rescue. She was losing her strength quickly.
She was captured by a man with her hands behind her back. That man cursed and said, “Damn! This girl is drugged but she’s still so violent!”
They clearly came prepared. They quickly pulled Qiao Moyu into an empty home in the alley.
It was bright right now. The sunlight shone in through the window, landing on a tall man in the room and stretching his shadow.
He heard movements and slowly turned around. He faintly said to Qiao Moyu, “I finally brought you over now!”
