Chapter 120: The Villain’s Mind Broke

Within the camp illuminated by flames, both sides of the battle had their eyes glued to a single figure.

Baydr glared at his target with killing intent.

The various members of the Old Demon Faction all turned serious.

Balon, his knights, and the various adventurers were also staring in shock.

Even Lumia and Melika were looking at the man before them blankly. They too were shocked as they remembered that amazing aura that appeared as if it could cover the entire world.

While under everyone’s gaze, Shien didn’t actually respond first. Instead, he gave Jillina a glance.

Jillian also seemed to have noticed Shien. He suddenly shook and the dull look on his face turned to one of terror, and he started shaking uncontrollably.

No one noticed that though.

Shien just grinned widely and finally spoke up in front of everyone there.

“And who are you?”

Shien instead threw the same question that he was asked back at Baydr.

“You don’t recognize me?”

Baydr narrowed his eyes.

“What?” Shien purposefully acted surprised, “Should I have recognized you then?”

“Shouldn’t you have?” Baydr darkly chuckled, “At the very least, I could tell from your eyes that it’s not that you really don’t know who I am, human brat.”

It seems that although Baydr looked down on humans, it didn’t go so far as affect his observational abilities.

Of course, that wasn’t nearly enough to actually stop Shien.

“I really don’t know who you are though.” Shien spoke innocently, “My party leader did tell me about some main plotter behind some assassination incident, but that was only a few days ago. I’ve never heard of your name before then, nor have I bothered to really memorize it. Plus, I’m pretty much ignorant of a lot of things. Heck, I’m even missing a lot of common knowledge. So, very sorry, but can you introduce yourself?”

Those words seemed quite sincere, but to any listener, it was a blatant provocation.

Bayder’s subordinate was provoked. He blasted out magic power, shaking the air, as if getting ready to attack Shien.

However, Baydr held out a hand and stopped him.

“Hehehe.” Baydr let out an ugly laugh and spoke to Shien, “It looks like it really has been too long since I’ve truly shown myself, for little brats to not even remember my name anymore.”

“But, it hardly matters even if you don’t remember it.” Baydr’s gaze swept across everyone there like he was looking at mere corpses, “I’ll just take this opportunity to hang all your heads over the front gate of the capital. I do believe that quite a lot of people will properly remember my name again with that.”

That statement made everyone there turn pale.

Balon and Alrith also had terrible expressions on their face. Lumia and Melika tightened their hold on Shien’s close, being too scared to let go anymore.

Shien though just shook his head without hesitation.

“That’s probably not going to work.”

Shien spoke such words without any hesitation.

“No?” Baydr coldly chucked, “Do you think I can’t do it?”

That statement got a reply.

“That’s not what I meant.”

Shien shook his head and gave Baydr a once over before showing a brilliant smile.

“What I meant was, if you wanted to become famous, you actually don’t need to so through so much trouble. I can help too.”

What method was that?

Simple.

“I can just hang your own head over the capital’s front gate. When that happens, you’d be famous even if you didn’t want to be.”

The smile on Baydr’s face vanished in the face of such an easy to understand statement.

“Kill them.”

Without dragging it out any longer, Baydr gave out an extremely simple and cruel order in a calm tone of voice.

““““Yes!””””

All of the members of the Old Demon Faction responded, turned toward Shien and company, and released their terrifying killing intent and magic power.

In response, Balon, Alrith, Lumia, Melika and the rest all realized that the most dangerous battle of their life was about to unfold.

However, before they could actually do anything, Shien suddenly also spoke up.

“Kill him.”

A nearly identical order came from Shien’s mouth.

Baydr and his group all hesitated for a moment.

The members of the Old Demon Faction all thought that Shien was ordering Balon and company.

Even Baydr also believe that Shien was giving out the order to Balon and company, so he remained calm.

However, the person who reacted to Shien’s order was beyond everyone’s expectation.

“Rip!”

Following the sound of flesh tearing, a bloody hand pierced through a person’s body.

“What!?”

Balon and company’s eyes bulged out.

“Lord Baydr!?”

The group of Old Demon Faction members turned suddenly their head toward Baydr with disbelieving expressions.

“…!”

Even Baydr’s own expression had frozen on his face. He bore with the extreme pain he was feeling and, as if still unbelieving, stiffly turned his neck and looked behind.

“You…”

Baydr’s was completely shocked.

“…”

Jillian stood behind Baydr with a dull expression. One hand pierced Baydr’s body, and he was covered in Baydr’s blood.

No one could have imagined such a turn of events.

No one could have anticipated that something like this would happen.

Of everyone there, there was only one person who wasn’t surprised at all.

That person was Shien.

“Come one then, what should you be saying at this time?”

Shien grinned and spoke to Jillian in a gentle tone.

Jillian shook as if remembering something terrifying. The dull look on his face collapsed and he recited madly.

“I’m sorry, I’m a spy.”

“I also want to be a good person.”

“So, I had no choice. I really didn’t have any choice.”

Jillian recited those words as if he was reading from a script.

It was like someone had a sword to his neck and was forcing him into reciting those words.

Balon and company were completely confused.

The Old Demon Faction were completely stunned.

Only Shien was unbelievably satisfied at those words.

After all, for the sake of enacting this turn of events, Shien had “educated” Jillian for three whole hours. Not only did he punch and kick, he also constantly brainwashed Jillian, telling him that if Jillian didn’t do as Shien said, then Shien will toss Jillian to a horde of a hundred gay homeless humans and let them do as they like to Jillian.

For an Old Demon Faction member who disdains humans, such a thing would be his worst nightmare.

Thus, Jillian’s mind broke and became the way he is now.

Baydr who didn’t know any of that also broke somewhat.

Spy?

Want to be a good person?

The @#&@%$!

“Boom!”

Magic power filled with rage erupted from Baydr.

“Aaahhhhh!”

Baydr roared. He grabbed Jillian’s head and pulled with all his might.

“Rip!”

Blood erupted out like a fountain.

In his rage, Baydr ripped off Jillian’s head with his bare hands.

“Kill them all!”

As he was bathed in Jillian’s fresh blood, Baydr roared out to the Old Demon Faction members around him.

The members of the Old Demon Faction all erupted with magic power and charged toward Shien and company.
