The Great Thief
-
chapter-1057
"You take it, I have a better one. I'll take the materials that come later," Lu Li suggested.
Water Fairy happy accepted the Epic dagger, but she could see the two smiling idiots off on the side. Even Lonesome Flower, who had never been one to gossip, couldn't help but smirk at the process.
Public displays of affection were one of the most annoying things!
However, Elevenless and Unforgettable Maple were both shocked to hear Lu Li say that he had a better weapon!
This guy was already so powerful. When he was fighting in the competition yesterday, many players already thought his damage was ridiculously high, but if he had an even better weapon…It seemed like he had to have spent a lot of money on equipment to obtain all these items.
Unforgettable Maple felt quite bitter about this situation. Both Elevenless and Lu Li were engaged in an arms race. Elevenless had put together a Gold set, which meant that most players couldn't deal much damage to him, while Lu Li was starting on a path of his own, which seemed like it required many Level
Reducing Gems.
If the other guilds didn't want to be completely outclassed by their equipment, they had no choice but to follow suit.
Water Fairy already knew the rules of the Xin Xin Mercenary Group. She sent a huge red packet to Remnant Dream which almost made her betray Lu Li to join Drizzle Court.
The second piece of equipment was a Dark Gold Magic Cloak. It wasn't an exquisite item, but it definitely wasn't unusable. At first glance, Unforgettable Maple thought it was quite suitable for him. Unfortunately, there were Kitty Likes Meat and Lonesome Flower competing with him. There could only be one winner among three players, which reduced his chances of success.
While everyone was looking around to see what would happen, Kitty Likes Meat offered in a regretful tone, "Maple sis, do you want this? It would be a pity just to sell this item."Unforgettable Maple almost vomited blood. This quiet and beautiful girl didn't usually say much, but when she finally spoke, she was rude. If they kept this up… if they kept this up, he was going home.
Then, he realized what the she really meant.
"You… you don't want it?"
"Nope!"
Every person he looked at shook their heads; no one else seemed to want this item. Suddenly, Unforgettable Maple had lost the excitement of potentially receiving something worthwhile.
He realized that he had underestimated the benefits of the First Clear bonus. Lu Li's team had acquired so many First Clears that even a level 50 Dark Gold item was passed up. How exquisite were the items that they currently had?
"Hurry up, we don't have much time left today," Lu Li urged Remnant Dreamt on as he assigned the equipment to Unforgettable Maple.
In fact, if this was a mixed party, there would be very few equips that would be given up like this. Some players would participate in the roll even if they didn't need it because they could give it to their friends or sell the item for money.
However, everyone here was rather well off and didn't mind giving up the equipment that wasn't for them.
There was still more equipment to come. The Wolf wasn't an Instance Dungeon Boss – it was somewhere between an Instance Dungeon Boss and a Wild Boss, so it probably would drop more than two to three items.
The end result was an Epic item, two Dark Gold items, two Gold items, a rare material and a Synthetic Stone.
The Epic item had been given to Water Fairy by Lu Li, while Unforgettable Maple and Remnant Dream took a Dark Gold item each. One of the Gold items was given to Azure Sea Breeze and the other was given to Elevenless as compensation for dying. Lu Li took the rare material and the Synthetic Stone was given to Lonesome Flower.
Everyone was happy with these assignments, and they agreed to push onwards.
After that, they had to clear five or six Boss areas in succession.
Lu Li went ahead to test the strength of one of them, but he barely managed to escape with his life.
This Boss was definitely beyond level 60. Even if a hundred players at Lu Li's level gathered to fight it, they wouldn't defeat it. The level difference wasn't something their equipment could make up for.
Everyone discussed it and decided to avoid that Boss. Otherwise, the time they had been given by Remulos simply wouldn't be enough. If they kept delaying like this, they might not even be able to exit the Twisting Nether. Who knows what would happen then?
Remulos had also suggested that they exit the Twisting Nether to take a break, but this was much easier said than done. There were several active monsters with a large aggro range that would follow the players for quite some time before giving up.
There was even a very fierce Boss that almost wiped them.
Fortunately, Lu Li used Silly Husky from the Book of Ur as bait. Other players had also learned similar skills and used their summons as well. Even then, they were still forced to sacrifice Water Fairy so that the rest of the party could get out of trouble.
After the Boss left, Water Fairy used her Darkmoon Card to gain 6% EXP.
In this way, it took everyone almost the whole day to travel the route planned by Remulos. It was laborious work, but they had gained a number of Strengthening Stones and materials. After returning to Azeroth, there was no longer any desire to continue exploring.
However, they had no idea where they were, or what towns were nearby.
They also didn't know how the NPCs would treat them at this stage. Regardless, Remulos had given them five tents, so they could go offline in the middle of the wilderness without any issues.
The Wilderness Tent was an item that was going to be released in the next patch. It was an expensive but popular item.
If a player was in a certain area but didn't want to return to the city, they could set up such a tent to protect themselves from the monsters at night.
It was a very useful item, but it cost 100 gold coins and could only be used three times. As such, most players simply couldn't bring themselves to use it.
In the earlier days, to encourage players to buy this item, players who used it would receive a double EXP buff for 1.5 hours after resting in the tent. This was an hour longer than the buff received by staying at hotel or private residence.
Half an hour of double EXP was already enough to attract players to spend a lot of money.
Since this was a tent given by Remulos before they were officially released, they didn't have the double EXP buff, but they were still good items.
There were five tents, which meant each tent could house two players. There were five men and five women, so the question had to be asked – how should they be assigned?
