The Great Thief
chapter-1104-30041322

In the end, they still had a battle to return to – they didn't come for the alcohol. They came with expectations from players and the gaming company to complete the dungeon.

Ribbly Screwspigot was Lu Li's first target. Because he was in a more isolated location, it required less technique to pull him.

Of course, they weren't allowed to wipe here. In fact, they weren't allowed to wipe at all at any of the three Bosses in this bar, or else they would have to face a more complex situation.

Ribbly Screwspigot was a Goblin, a race that was ubiquitous in this world. Goblins left their footprints wherever they could find money, but Ribbly Screwspigot didn't come for the money – he came for his own safety.

Like many Goblins, Ribbly Screwspigot had a bad habit. He liked to loan money and attempt to come up with a plan that could make him a millionaire overnight.

His most recent failure – the Screwspigot's Chewable Bomb – made him famous amongst Booty Bay. His life was wanted by Revilgaz, one of the great millionaires who resided there. Hopelessly, he returned to the Black Iron Bar, in an attempt to escape the Bounty Hunters and friends and family who might sell him out.

His friends and family, including his brothers and sisters, all wanted to try and make some money through their useless brother. They even handed out some rewarding quests for this.

With the money that he stole, Ribbly Screwspigot hired three Tauren body guards. All of them were well fed and kept at their best condition.

"Hi, Screwspigot, I have some news from Booty Bay. Would you like to hear about it?" Anyone with related quests on the team could go up and make a conversation.

"Who are you?" the little Goblin asked cautiously.

"There are too many people here. How about we talk about it inside?"

Wendelian tried her best to look harmless, and she did look harmless indeed. She was a female Priest; any one of Ribbly Screwspigot's bodyguards could probably kill her easily.

The Goblin took his three bodyguards with him behind a door and quickly shut it.

Including Wendelian, the room was filled with fifteen people. Ribbly Screwspigot knew that he had fallen for a trap, but unfortunately, he was already caught and all that he could rely on was his three bodyguards.

As for why the outside world wouldn't hear about their fight, well, this was a game.

The three Tauren Bodyguards were quite powerful, but they couldn't possibly be too challenging.

As for Ribbly Screwspigot, Lu Li has encountered these kinds of Bosses more than once and so far, they were all average in terms of combat power. They were more skilled in their abilities to scam or earn money.

The Boss didn't drop anything worthwhile for them.

Lu Li's next target was Hurley Blackbreath.

Hurley Blackbreath was more than just a regular at the bar – in the past 10 years, this alcoholic had only left the bar once. He had also attempted to steal the secret recipe for the Lightning Beer. Sometimes, Hurley Blackbreath would awaken from his drunken state and brew this alcohol himself, claiming that all who drank it would receive unimaginable strength and courage.

There were people in Kharanos, a town located in Dun Morogh that wanted Hurley Blackbreath's head. The reason was simple – he had stolen the recipe for Lightning Beer.

Hurley Blackbreath was generous, brewed good wine and was handsome – not that Lu Li could comprehend what was handsome about that big beard. Regardless, he held a high status within the bar.

The position that he sat in was almost in the middle of the bar. If you attacked him there, you would be rushed by a group of angry Dwarves in the next second.

The group studied the situation for a bit, after which Lu Li suggested that he could go steal the Lightning Beer recipe with Water Fairy. If the game left any clues, then the Lightning Beer recipe had to be the only one.

The Theft ability that Thieves had caused a certain amount of aggression, but what if their target was an alcoholic?

Lu Li went up first and casted Theft. He stole a handful of coins, which seemed like a lot, but they were all copper. Moreover, it sent his Theft ability on cooldown. In order to not create more aggression, Water Fairy's gave it a try, but she still returned with coins.

They attempted this for a few minutes, and the situation remained the same.

They stole all kinds of rubbish, but they didn't manage to land the Lightning Beer Recipe.

"My, I bet they're almost about to steal his underwear, but they still haven't stolen the Lightning Beer Recipe," Azure Sea Breeze said anxiously.

"Dirty, this is too dirty," Unforgettable Maple sighed with a sorry expression. "Now that I think about the consequences of offending them, I feel horrified. What if they steal off me like this someday? Wouldn't I have to run around naked then?"

"What if he doesn't have it with him?" Green Flag Wine asked. If that was the case, then it would be a problem.

At this time, Lu Li's voice sounded out in the group channel.

"We got it. Everyone, get ready – he's about to go crazy."

It wasn't that Hurley Blackbreath was unaware that someone was stealing his stuff. In his tipsy mind, these were all small things compared to his recipe. He could go and brew some wine later and earn it back in an instant.

However, the moment the recipe disappeared, he instantly woke up.

He hadn't left the Black Iron Bar once in ten years. He had to waste his drinking time for this recipe, and now someone had stolen it before he had even fully studied it.

How dare they!

As he watched the Thief run into a house beside the bar, Hurley Blackbreath picked up his giant hammer and walked over, wobbling from side to side. He had to let these little Thieves know who they were messing with.

Just last time, Hurley Blackbreath found that he was surrounded after he entered.

Poor Hurley Blackbreath – he never got the chance to find out why these people were so horrible. Not only did they steal his recipe, but they also took his life.

Hurley Blackbreath dropped a Dark Gold grade pair of boots with fire resistance attributes. The attributes on the boots were also decent, but the most important aspect was the fire resistance. From here onwards, main tanks would be willing sacrifice other stats for fire resistance in the Blackrock dungeon series.

Lu Li and Water Fairy could both use it, but Water Fairy passed it to Lu Li.

The third boss that they had to kill in this bar was the owner – Plugger Spazzring.

Plugger Spazzring was an honest businessman and was a well-known figure in the Black Iron Bar.

The kind of friendship that developed in the bar was all thanks to Plugger Spazzring. He was a Leopard Gnome that had come to start a new life after the fall of Gnomeregan. Although he used to be a Warlock that interacted with demons all the time, now he was just a proud owner who ensured that his customers' cups were always filled with wine.

He was a popular Boss in Dawn, not just because he was one of the few who dropped Goblin Jumper Cables, but also because he had with him a Legendary weapon that many Thieves coveted – the Barman Shanker.
