The Great Thief
chapter-1362-30041322

T1 gear was very sought after right now. Although Hachi Chan’s T1 pieces were only Dark Gold, everyone was still very envious of her.

If each Boss dropped two Legendary pieces each, then Molten Core would produce around 20 pieces of legendary gear. The dropped rate seemed high, but there were very few guilds that could complete the Nightmare mode within a month.

This worked out to be around half a piece of Legendary gear per player, meaning some could receive nothing.

If they had the privilege of obtaining one, then there was not much they could complain about.

Remnant Dream continued looting and pulled out another legendary – Quick Strike Ring.

Legendary accessories were even more precious than Legendary equipment because of how rare and in-demand they were.

Quick Strike Ring (Legendary): Damage + 64-82, Agility + 120, Strength + 80, Attack Speed + 30%, Two Slot. Special Effect 1: Attack enemy weak points causing piercing damage at a certain chance. Special Effect 2: Active, Instant Cast, Strike 3 times at target, causing piercing damage, cooldown 6 minutes. Special Effect 3: Misdirection, Instant Cast, instantly swap places with a target within 40 yards, cooldown 6 hours. Level Requirement 60, Durability 360/360,

Another great ring!

With the increase in drop rate of useless Legendary pieces, such a Ring was a welcome sight indeed.

Many Legendary equips had rather non-ideal effects. For example, a defensive Legendary piece might have a godly damaging special effect, or a weapon might have a healing ability.

Lu Li was currently wearing Ocean’s Breeze.

Ocean’s Breeze (Legendary): Damage: 52-88, Agility +80, Strength +50, Critical +30%. Unique Effect 1: Incursion. Creates a Flame Realm. Players within this realm gain 20% Defence and 10% Fire Resistance. Duration: 15 seconds. Cooldown: 2 minutes. Unique Effect 2: When the Caster is struck with a critical hit, there is a chance of mitigating some of the damage from the hit. When successful, the damage received is reduced by 50%. Unique Effect 3: Teleport. After equipping, the bearer of this ring gains a chance to use Teleport, but the destination is random. Equipment requirement: Level 55. Durability: 320/320.

Comparing the two, Quick Strike Ring had 6 less maximum damage but 12 more minimum damage, meaning that his overall damage would be more consistent.

Ocean Breeze was already a great Ring that added an additional 30% critical chance, which instantly outclassed every other ring of its level. On the other hand, the Quick Strike Ring added an additional 30% attack speed. Both had their pros and cons, but overall, the critical chance was more worth it for him.

However, Lu Li’s critical strike chance was already over the cap so there was no point of him having extra.

Ocean Breeze was very useful in the Molten Core dungeon and the Incursion special effect had aided him many times in First Clears. Even if Lu Li managed to win the bid for the ring, he probably wouldn’t switch it out for the rest of this dungeon.

Lu Li did not have his hopes up because he knew that he was very unlucky when it comes to rolling for items. Not only did he have bad luck with rolling, but he also had bad luck with items with effects that activated ‘at a certain chance’. He would prefer the additional critical chance since it would provide a boost to his damage.

However, the Triple Strike would be very useful to burst down an enemy that was stunned.

The unfortunate thing was, he knew that the triple strike likely did not allow the three hits to crit.

This would be compensated by the fact that there was piercing damage.

The third Special Effect on Ocean Breeze was godly, but Lu Li had yet to use it.

One reason was because he was very busy recently with other things and didn’t have an opportunity to use it. The other reason was because with his luck, he would probably be teleported into a worse situation that he was currently in.

Quick Strike Ring’s third effect was much more reliable and it was something that also attracted Lu Li’s attention.

“Who wants the ring? Bid if you want it.”

As soon as Lu Li opened his mouth, he instantly bid 20 points.

Everyone fell silent.

“Nobody else?” Lu Li asked. He knew that it wasn’t because no one wanted it but because everyone was afraid to bid for it too quickly. They knew that Lu Li wanted the ring and he was the head of everyone – their shot caller, guild master and spiritual leader.

“What the hell!” Wandering yelled.

“I want to smash my head right now…” Azure Sea Breeze was speechless.

“I can’t let someone win it for so cheap. 30 points!” Wandering roared.

“I might be the Main Tank, but I still need the equipment to level up. 40 points.” Azure Sea Breeze quickly followed up. Those that were unfamiliar with their relationship might thought that they were doing this on purpose to troll Lu Li.

However, Lu Li wanted to thank the two of them.

He wasn’t afraid of others fighting for an item with him; he was more afraid of his guild members being too scared to fight for an item against him. If he was able to take away a Legendary accessory for 20 points with such amazing stats, then others would question his position as a leader.

This piece was useful not only for Thieves but for Berserkers as well.

If a Berserker were to randomly switch places with an enemy player, then he would be able to cast Whirlwind and instantly destroy the enemy team.

Other classes such as Paladins, Hunters, Shamans and DPS Druids could all use it as well.

If Lu Li won the bid with 20 points then it would be as if he was abusing his power, which was something he never intended to do. Besides, Lu Li had plenty of points to spare for the bid.

He would rather win the piece fair and square rather than offending his team members which would cause them to badmouth him behind his back.

“50.”

Water Fairy also joined in since she was a Thief as well.

“80.”

Moonlight was determined to win the piece now.

“100.”

Lu Li was expecting the bid to go up quickly, but they had reached 100 points after a few seconds.

“120.”

Lu Li increased his bid to the amount that Lonesome Flower won his previous piece for.

“130!”

“140!”

“150!”

“190!”

Moonlight was now running out of points and Lu Li was aware of this.

“200.”

“Pass, let me borrow it next time,” Moonlight said, finally deciding to opt out.
