Chapter 1820: Unlocking Earns Money
Translator: Exodus Tales Editor: Exodus Tales
With not enough time to distribute the equipment, Lu Li led everyone to the next Boss without stopping for any rest at all.
The 2nd Boss was Blood Guard Porung.
When the Bloodied besieged Shattrath, Porung launched a fierce attack against the territory of the Draenor Paladins. At that time, these Paladins locked themselves up in a corner of the city. He single-handedly extinguished the defenders, but incurred serious injuries and had no way to join the Horde’s later surprise attack on Azeroth. Now, Porung had fully recovered from his injures, and worked for Warchief Kargath in Hellfire Citadel, hoping to make up for his regrets from those brilliant military campaigns, writing his own name in the history of the Orcs with the blood of his enemies.Fighting this Boss was optional, but if they chose not to, the channel between the second and third Bosses – that channel of raging flames, would continuously spawn new monsters. These monsters were actually rather powerful, so Lu Li chose to face the Boss.
Blood Guard Porung dropped a Blood Guard’s Wild Necklace, which increased the strength of attacks and boosted critical hits.
There wasn’t that much equipment that was level 60+ and boosted critical hit too, so equipment like this was extremely popular.
Leaving Remnant Dream behind to loot equipment, Lu Li brought the rest of the party to keep moving forward.
According to reliable information, the other clubs were all still completing the unlocking quests. Cain’s Left Hand became the decisive factor for Ruling Sword. Lu Li wasn’t being honest now. He instructed Cain’s Left Hand to stand by the door of the Shattered Halls and ‘sell himself out’.
“88888 – as long as you’ve got five lots of eight of gold, the full intermediate level unlocking Thief will be here!”
“Open the Shattered Halls and you’ll experience the peak of your life!”Cain’s Left Hand was announcing this on the international livestream. He was going to earn money immediately, regardless of what he was actually talking about. Lu Li had said that the club didn’t want any of the money earnt, and would rather divide the money between this group of Thieves who had been busy unlocking doors recently.
It wasn’t easy. Shameless Lu always took advantage of others, so it was rare for him to come to a point where he would give up a little bit himself.
“Boss, are we buying it?” a follower asked Sorrowless.
“It’s too dodgy – five lots of eight – that’s two million dollars in real money. We definitely can’t let them earn that much,” Blood Dagger disagreed. He really regretted that he himself hadn’t practiced unlocking. Even as a Thief, he had no way to help out the team in this difficult time.
Sorrowless looked expressionless.
“Are you idiots?”
White Westhill didn’t want to look down on them, but he had to say it.
“Cain’s Left Hand’s from Ruling Sword, so he can’t open the door for us. You don’t have to get caught up on it.”
Actually, although the door was open, if the one who opened the door wasn’t on the team, others had no way of getting in.
Moreover, players from different camps simply couldn’t join together. As such, Ruling Sword had no way of joining in on this sale.
“I think we can buy it,” Elevenless said.
“Too dodgy, it’s just too dodgy. It must be something that that damned Lu came up with.”
If you didn’t run the household, you wouldn’t know how precious money was. Dream 13 pinched his own collar. Doing so allowed him to breathe a little easier.
“We’re already running behind on our progress in the quest. If we don’t buy it how are we gonna keep going?”
“That damned Lu and them will definitely be finished with the Instance Dungeon soon. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be selling it,” Dream 13 said unhappily.
“Then they’re at least coming second. It’s on the Instance Dungeon record.”
Elevenless still wanted to buy it. They were ranked second on the Hellfire Ramparts and third for the Blood Furnace. If they did well on the Shattered Halls, they could certainly get second place again.
“2 million! 2 million, and we won’t be the only ones either!” Dream 13 cried out, gnashing his teeth.
“I heard that Seventh Heaven already asked him.”
New info had come. Dream 13 and Elevenless looked at each other in the same way, and right away, they stopped debating about whether to buy it. They had to buy it. For most people, two million dollars was a lot, but these sorts of major clubs spent more than that in expenses in a single day.
At most, they just weren’t that happy about it.
By the time Lu Li and his team had advanced to where the third Boss was, Cain’s Left Hand had already done business with three groups.
In order to be able to keep doing business in the future, he didn’t continue promoting this as a special price. That way, he was certainly able to earn a bit more money. It would just offend those clubs who had paid that sum before.
These three clubs were Seventh Heaven, Wings of Dawn as well as Blood Red War Flag.
Wings of Dawn bought it because Seventh Heaven had. They weren’t willing to fall behind, but Blood Red War Flag’s thinking was relatively simple – they just had to be ahead of Glory Capital.
This was almost five or six million dollars. Even if it was split between dozens of people, everyone would still receive a fairly decent sum of money.
“Haha, turns out following the boss pays its rewards,” Cain’s Left Hand laughed gleefully. “Boss, we’ll never say you’re a bad guy ever again. Bad is good – the badder, the better.”
“Get out of the way!”
The third Boss was called Warbringer O’mrogg.
The fierce, cruel and cunning ogre O’mrogg was seen as one of the most powerful members of the Fel Horde. However, this guy’s frightening thugs caused their own problems too. The two heads that extended from his neck would fight over what seemed like the inconsequential things. Two years ago, O’mrogg had started up a 12-step plan so that they could continue in their warmongering natures. Unfortunately, his two heads still hadn’t decided from which step they were going to start.
Each head had its own independent thoughts, and through the whole battle, it sounded like you were listening to them argue.
For example, one head would say to the other, “I’m hungry.”
The other would respond, “You’re always hungry – that’s why we’re so fat!”
After defeating the players, one of the heads would gloat in a Beijing accent, “They’ve bit the dust!” It’s because we’ve used heaps of power!”
The other would say in a Northeastern accent, “It’s just because you’re so good, right? Shut up with the nonsense.”
Apparently, if the two heads of Warbringer didn’t fight between themselves, their power would be doubled. At that stage, the players probably wouldn’t be able to beat them.
Fortunately, this was only a story. While the two heads continued their intense argument, Lu Li and his party succeeded in killing this Boss.
Skyfire Hawk-Bow!
Hunters and Thieves could both use this equipment. Remnant Dream preferred rifles and crossbows, so Water Fairy ended up taking it into her hands.
The Skyfire Hawk-Bow greatly boosted critical hit. It was the most admired ranged weapon for a close-combat role that lacked in critical hit.
There was also a Firemaul of Destruction, which was considered a PVP piece of equipment. It couldn’t really be used in the next Instance Dungeon for levelling up. Lu Li took it up for now and would throw it into the guild storehouse later where those who needed it could exchange it for guild points.
There was no Epic equipment, which seemed unlikely at this stage.
However, as the final Boss for the three Instance Dungeons of Hellfire Ramparts, as well as the final Boss of the Shattered Halls, there was still a very high chance for Warchief Kargath Bladefist to drop Epic equipment.
