Chapter 1839: Double First Clear

Accessing the Colifang Reservoir required a key. Once you acquired enough Reputation, you could buy it from the Cenarion Expedition’s Quartermaster. Lu Li had already farmed the Reputation he needed and acquired the key.

This was the benefit of rebirth; there was no skill involved.

“Get the portal up and start transporting players,” Lu Li announced the official start of the First Clearing.

The First Instance Dungeon was the Slave Pens.

This was a very simple five-person Instance Dungeon. Its purpose was to help the players advance from level 63 to level 65, which was not difficult given that it was an Instance Dungeon.

This time, the main players that were involved in the First Clear were Lu Li, Lonesome Flower, Azure Sea Breeze, Remnant Dream and March Rain. It was faster with these five players. Water Fairy formed her own team, and they joked about racing each other.

Their line-up was Water Fairy, Deadly Green Orange, Star Baby, Wandering and Kitty Likes Meat. All the players on this team were very attractive.

The line-ups on both teams were actually very similar. They had one defensive player, one healer and three strong damage output players.

Mennu the Betrayer was the first Boss that they all ran into. He patrolled an area and was surrounded by some other monsters. He was a Shaman-type Boss (like Hexxer Jin’do), who used melee attacks and placed totems.

Everyone doing the Instance Dungeon instantly knew what to do when they saw this Boss – destroy the totems!

As long as the totems were destroyed as fast as they were placed down, they would have no problems.

Water Fairy’s team missed a healing totem, so their progress was a little slower than Lu Li’s.

Lu Li reached the second Boss before them, and was soon faced with Rokmar the Crackler. Rokmar the Crackler was a giant lobster, so giant in fact that there were few people that

would want to eat it when they saw it.

This Boss had an area of effect Frostbolt with unlimited range, so it was basically impossible to avoid it. As such, there was also no point standing back. Its deceleration debuff was not often cast, and it was usually cast onto Azure Sea Breeze. They wouldn’t even bother dispelling it as it didn’t have much of an effect on them.

The most important thing was to pay attention the Bleed. Since this skill was always cast onto the Main Tank, and could only be removed if they were on full HP, the Healers had to

keep overhealing, which placed noticeable pressure on them.

In addition, they had to pay attention to the Main Tank’s HP even after the Boss died, otherwise he would die along with the Boss.

Fortunately, March Rain was such a powerful healer that this was simply no challenge for her.

The players would also have to release some NPCs before initiating the attack. When they did so, a few Naga would come out to fight the Boss as well. If they were kept alive until the Boss was killed, then the players would receive a Magic buff from them. They would receive 110 Nature Resistance and all their other Attributes would increase by 5% for 30 minutes.

Remnant Dream looted the corpse and pulled out a pair Dark Gold Wavefury Boots. This was a reasonable Priest item.

The reason that Lu Li brought Remnant Dream to this Instance Dungeon was for the final Boss. It was also to acquire useful items, where Priests and other Magic professions would benefit the most.

There were a total of three Bosses in this Instance Dungeon, and the last one was called Quagmirran.

Quagmirran was once the ruler of many Fungal Giants in Zangarmarsh. He was captured by the Naga while wandering the caves of Zangarmarsh and suffered from unbearable torture. Now, this devastated creature was solely loyal to its master, and was willing to silence all those to dared defy its master’s will.

Azure Sea Breeze stood by the water as Quagmirran rumbled over. The Boss’ melee attacks were devastating and it was constantly casting area of effect poison arrows during the battle. You had to neutralize the poisons as often as possible, but as long as the Priest was capable enough, this Boss wasn’t too much of an issue.

The reason that Lu Li had completed it all so quickly was likely because of the first Healing totem that Water Fairy’s team failed to clear. This meant that Lu Li managed to achieve the First Clear in the end.

Quagmirran’s Eye!

This was an exquisite Magic item, even with the level penalties, as many players would wear this level 65 item all the way until level 70.

Lu Li threw a hundred gold coins at Remnant Dream, as an offering for her services.

He only teased this girl when he didn’t have any money. However, when he did have money, he was actually quite generous. In the end, he spoilt Remnant Dream and Hachi Chan like his own sister.

The First Clear had been broadcasted.

The whole world was in awe.

Everyone was still investigating the clues and looking for the Instance Dungeon, but this guy had already taken the First Clear.

Ruling Sword hadn’t just assembled two teams either.

They had formed more small teams to grind the Instance Dungeon. All of them were farming the Instance Dungeon over and over again to gain levels and equipment.

“You still haven’t worked out where the Instance Dungeon is?”

“Our people just can’t work it out. There are no coordinates within and it’s just a cave. I don’t know how the Ruling Sword players managed to get in. It is almost like they have sealed themselves in.”

“Just get more people onto this task, as many as possible. We need to keep up with Ruling Sword!”

“I mean, it’s not like we don’t have anyone with Ruling Sword. Darkness is among the players First Clearing with them.”

“Do you dare tell this to the Boss?”

“Hehe, I’ll just mention it casually. It’s not like I know that we are banned from mentioning Darkness. I’m just not that kind of sentimental person.”

“Heh, be careful, I don’t know what will happen to you.”

Just like Hellfire Citadel, the Colifang Reservoir also contained a group of Instance Dungeons. In addition to the Slave Pen, there were two other places where they could acquire a First Clear – the Dark Swamp and the Steamvault. As for the Serpentshrine Cavern, it was the same as Magtheridon’s Lair, and could only be completed when they were all at level 70.

The Dark Swamp was the second Instance Dungeon in the Colifang Reservoir. It was the natural habitat of life in the Colifang Reservoir that had not been destroyed by the Naga.

At Ordinary difficulty, each monster kill was rewarded with 5 points of Reputation and each Boss kill was rewarded with 50 points of Reputation. Once you were respected, you couldn’t receive any more Reputation. On Elite Difficulty, you could keep gaining Reputation until you were Worshiped.

If you wanted to farm Reputation for Colifang Reservoir, grinding the Instance Dungeon was the right thing to do.

The Instance Dungeon wasn’t that difficult and was easily completed by Lu Li. The System once again broadcasted Lu Li’s name. This kind of small Instance Dungeon didn’t reward much, but it could promote the guild’s name.

The other clubs weren’t without intelligent people either.

From the description of what it was like inside, the quickly determined that the way the Instance Dungeon should be entered was likely by a pool in the cave from underwater.

As such, their position was quickly narrowed down to the lake.

When Lu Li completed the second Instance Dungeon, someone had discovered the Colifang Reservoir under the water.

However, the fact that the Slave Pen required a key came as a shock.

What kind of strategy did Ruling Sword that allowed them to get the key in such a short time? Cenarion Expedition’s Reputation was not that easy to earn.

In fact, Lu Li was able to acquire so much of Cenarion Expedition’s Reputation because he shot many Nagas with his crossbow, each of which yielded a rich amount of Reputation. Since they now felt secure, the Druids weren’t stingy about rewarding Lu Li.
