The Great Thief

chapter-866
Lu Li had two equips that were very suitable for this dungeon.
Scourge Counter (Gold): Armor 40, Agility +30, Strength +16, Critical Strike +10%. Special effect 1:
Deal 30% increased damage to Scourge units. Special effect 2: Certain chance of dealing three
times damage when your health drops below 30%. Level Requirement 40, Durability 84/84.
These were his gloves that dealt 30% increased damage to Scourge units! This wasn't a special effect that required activation, but was ongoing.
The other was a lower-level equip that he had found in the storage.
Wristwraps of Undead Slaying (Exquisite Silver): Armor 23, Agility +15, Strength +5, Special Effect
1: Berserk, Attack+18%, Lasts for 20 seconds, Cooldown 360 seconds. Special Effect 2: Deal
extra 18% damage to the Undead race, Level Requirement 25, Durability 48/48.
While this equip wasn't as good as his others, the 18% bonus damage to Undead monsters was enough to persuade Lu Li.
Both of these equips were suited towards fighting Scourge units; it was as if this dungeon had been designed specifically for them. The others had similar gear because the Scourge was the major villain of Dawn's lore. As such, many other equips existed, but most of them just weren't as powerful as Lu Li's.
This dungeon included many major and minor quests. Hachi Chan had taken up a number of them and shared them directly with the others.
"There are quite a few high-leveled monsters; everyone make sure to watch out. Breeze, go ahead," Lu Li instructed as he opened up a metal door and signaled for Azure Sea Breeze start the fight.
The monsters at the entrance were once civilians of the past, but now, they were just walking bodies.
"Here comes another fool. Report him to the Baron; everyone get ready for battle!" an Undead monster shouted, announcing the start of the dungeon.
In the past few years, both Holy Light Adventurers and the Scarlet Crusaders had entered Stratholme to battle with these fearsome monsters.
Unfortunately, they all failed; there were almost no exceptions.
There was a feature to this dungeon – the monsters multiplied as the players died during their exploration. According to the lore, adventurers who died here would be resurrected by the Scourge Army, increasing its strength.
Despite this, the NPCs still encouraged the players to participate in battle.
In the not-so-distant future, Stratholme would grow to become one of the favorite leveling spot for players because of high monster population. Paladins and Druids with good defensive attributes, along with Mages who had group spells, often brought rich newbie players as a training service.
Lu Li had also participated in such events in his previous life; he even found a bug to almost infinitely kill monsters.
However, they weren't strong enough for this yet, as no one could tank that many monsters. Once the Main Tank was unable to fulfil his role, only death would await them in the end.
Azure Sea Breeze shot a single Undead, but to his surprise, a pack of them followed.
Fortunately, these weren't high-leveled elite monsters. Only two of them were elites amongst the six monster, while the others were all ordinary. Azure Sea Breeze and Wandering didn't feel any pressure from them at all.
Slowly, everyone's attention began to shift towards the damage chart, because Lu Li's damage was simply ridiculous.
Theoretically, Lonesome Flower's DPS should be higher than Lu Li's before they reached the Boss because of his AoE spell. However, the number one spot on the chart didn't belong to Lonesome Flower – it had been Lu Li the entire time.
In this dungeon, Priests could also make themselves useful. Besides healing, March Rain could also control an Undead monster to fight alongside them.
As they continued their journey, they soon ran into a different type of monster, one that could summon more Undead as their helpers.
In a haunted city of death such as Stratholme, there wasn't a skill as dangerous as the ability to Summon Undead.
As such, this was often the first place that players wiped in the dungeon.
After a while, Lu Li stopped in front of a little house in the city. This was a very low house with a huge sign – < fras="" siabi's="" cigarette="" store="">.
"This is it; the cigarette quest," Lu Li said.
Hachi Chan nodded her head repeatedly as she explained, "The Dwarf at the Chapel seemed to claim that this was the cigarette store that he had been talking about. He's very generous – he said that if we came here, he'd give us some potions and repair our equipment for free, as long as we bring some tobacco for him."
Lu Li shook his head without agreeing. He was the only one who knew about Fras Siabi's Cigarette.
Fras Siabi's Cigarette was famous; even the people from Kul Tiras knew of it. Every important person who has visited Stratholme had tried it.
King Terenas, Uther Lightbringer, Fordring – they had all enjoyed a Fras Siabi Cigarette.
After Fras Siabi's Cigarette gained attention among the community, players would often come every week to look for some tobacco.
When players requested something from an NPC that was a smoker, it would be a guaranteed success if they could give them some Fras Siabi's Cigarette.
The Dwarf that Hachi Chan had mentioned was Smokey LaRue. Only a silly players like Hachi Chan during the early game would attempt his quest. Later on, when players obtained Fras Siabi's Cigarette, they wouldn't give it to him anymore.
"Breeze, go first. Watch out for the people inside," Lu Li said as he gave signal.
Azure Sea Breeze was a little worried after he heard what Lu Li had said, but he raised his shield and pushed open the door. What welcomed him first was the sweet smell of tobacco, and of course, the most common scent of Stratholme – rotten corpses.
"Rawr!" a giant figure shouted as it jumped out from the shadows.
When Stratholme was destroyed, Fras Siabi didn't want to leave his precious stock. At first, he wanted to incinerate all of his tobacco before anyone could touch it. Unfortunately, not everyone was brave enough to face their death head-on. Fras Siabi became an Undead and was a small hidden boss in Stratholme.
If players entered this building without being prepared, they could die to him.
Since he was on guard, there was no way that Azure Sea Breeze would be taken down by such a small Boss. His shield had blocked Fras' attack, so the damage he took wasn't significant.
