“EEEHHHHHHHH?!?!?” Mais let out a scream. “Even though it’s a monster supposedly capable of devastating an entire Highland territory on its own…?! Amazing…! Ah, then, if a Prisma appears right now, will I get to see Inglis defeat it…?!”

“I’d be delighted if you would kindly call a Prisma over.” Inglis responded with a beaming smile.

If a Prisma were to appear right now, with Eris out of commission, Inglis would have to fight a battle without the aid of a Hyrule Menace, but that was fine. After all, she would finally be able to test her own mettle with it. That didn’t sound so bad.

Inglis was not one to stagnate in her progress. She had her newly created Dragon Sorcery. Eventually, she must defeat a Prisma completely on her own.

“WOOOW……! I hope it comes…! It’d be really bad if it comes, but I want to see it…!”

“You’re right, I want it to come too…!”

Inglis and Mais shared an excited nod.

“Hahaha… I’d hate that…”

“Would you please not say such dangerous things…?! Your jokes might turn out to be more than jokes…”

Liselotte spoke after Rafinha, her face looking troubled.

“Eh? What do you mean, Liselotte?”

“Do you know something about a Prisma…?!”

Rafinha and Leone looked tense.

“Ooooh….! That’s great…! What do you know? Where is it? How can I meet it?”

“I’m telling you, don’t get delighted…! Well, I am fully aware that telling you off would do none of us good, Miss Inglis…”

After a deep sigh, Liselotte gave a proper explanation.

“This is the Shaker Open Sea and we departed from Shealot, correct? There’s a legend around here that a sea devil appears and sinks ships passing through these waters… In fact, according to records left in the hands of the Althea family… We’ve sent out several exploration ships to cross the Shaker Open Sea, but most of them never returned. Only once did a crew return, claiming they had seen said sea devil… It was said to be a gigantic fish wrapped in rainbow-colored scales.”

“Rainbow-colored scales… That means…”

“A Prisma…”

Rafinia and Leone’s expressions tightened.

“Yes… This sea is vast. I don’t think it will be found so easily, but the possibility is not entirely nonexistent. It’s better to be cautious.”

“…In that case, we need to get Illuminas back into the sky as soon as possible.”

“Leone’s right. I wonder if the repairs will take much longer? Say, Mais, do these kinds of things happen often?”

“No, this is the first time…! At least, as far as I know…”

Mais shook his head.

“Ah, there’s something coming.”

Inglis pointed her finger to the sea. There was a giant column of water spray in the distance, and the water column sprayed closer and closer to where they were. It had to come much closer for Inglis to tell what was making that giant spray.

“““EEEHHHH?!”””

Rafinha, Leone, and Liselotte raised their voices at the ominous development.

“Y-, you’re right! What is that….?!”

“C-, could it be, the sea devil….?!”

“N-, no way, it can’t be that convenient! Lady Eris isn’t even with us….!”

They had just mentioned it—the Prisma known as the Sea Devil that terrorized the seas around here. It seemed to prove the old saying–‘speak of the Devil and he shall appear.’

“YAY…! That’s Prisma for you, they sure show up on cue!”

Inglis, on the other hand, was visibly thrilled. An opportunity to face a formidable foe had arisen just as she wished for one. This Prisma was precisely the challenge she wanted to confront right now.

“Sheesh…! No matter your size, you’re the same old Glis! But if it truly is a Prisma, then it’s a blessing that we came to Highland. After all, we’ve finally found Highlanders we can befriend. They’re like Lady Cyrene and Special Envoy Theodore…! That’s why we must protect them, Glis…!”

“Indeed, that’s how it should be…!”

“We don’t have Lady Eris or Lady Ripple today, so we’ll have to manage on our own…!”

“If we could defeat the Prisma right here, we’d secure a safe passage through the Shaker Open Sea…! Let’s do this, for Shealot, and for Charalia…!”

The group unanimously agreed to confront the Prisma.

If that’s the case—

“I’m off to see what’s going on!”

Inglis couldn’t let anyone else take the lead. She was determined to face and defeat the Prisma on her own.

Furthermore, the last battle with a Prisma, a gigantic bird encased in ice, had shown the potential to transform even non-Highlanders into Magic Stone Beast.

This was likely due to the Giant Bird Prisma being a more evolved, hybrid form of human and bird, suggesting that the Sea Devil Prisma might not possess the same capability.

Seeing that Rafinha had faced no issues in such encounters before, she would likely be safe now, just as would Liselotte, who had a High Grade Rune, and Leone, who boasted a Special Grade Rune.

—However, Inglis would not risk exposing Rafinha, whom she cherished like a granddaughter, to any danger. This was more than mere protective instinct; it was a profound familial affection.
