The Magus Era
chapter-1709

Donggong and Ximu smilingly stood aside without saying a word, just looking at Priest Hua and Priest Mu. Surrounding them, the group of cultivators had also been looking at Priest Hua and Priest Mu calmly. They had been through countless wars back in the ancient times. Therefore, the small conflict happening right now couldn't even catch their eyes.

Zhu Rong gave a deep snort. Wearing a fire-red robe, he slowly raised his right hand. Following his move, his thirty-million-men Zhu Rong army split into two groups, swiftly forming a great formation in the air.

Streaks of fiery glow emerged from the sky, descending and falling onto the bodies of Zhu Rong warriors. These warriors roared deeply as their bodies burst into dazzling fiery lights and grew twice as tall. Their powers were raised by ten folds at least.

After all, Zhu Rong Family was descended from the Red Emperor, and this ancient divine battle formation was a part of their daily practice. Once the great formation was composed, numerous divine defensive formations in the heaven were triggered, and the fire power in the entire heaven began gathering towards the formation, gifting it a fierce vibe and making its power soar.

Ji Hao smilingly took a few steps forward, glanced at Priest Hua and Priest Mu, and chuckled abruptly, "Elders, you ran so fast. My Shifu set up his sword formation, intending to put up a life-to-death fight with you. But, little did we know that you would actually abandon your 'dear friend' and take off, as if that friendship didn't exist at all!"

"Poor Yu..." Sighed Ji Hao.

"Shut up!" Priest Mu abruptly burst into a loud shout, cutting Ji Hao off. Ji Hao was telling everyone on the scene about the fact that Priest Mu and Priest Hua colluded with Yu Man, but Priest Hua and Priest Mu weren't shameless enough to let Ji Hao speak that out. How could they?

Priest Hua dropped his face as he carried a transparent glowing pestle and took two steps towards Ji Hao. He glanced at Ji Hao, then turned his eyes to Donggong and Ximu. At last, he looked at Zhu Rong. His eyes sparkled with a dim light as he pointed at Ao Bai and Qing Qiang and hollered, "Who do you think you are? How dare you steal the divine throne?" So harshly, Priest Hua said, "Take off the robes of divine emperors, give up the thrones, cut off your natural fortune earned as divine emperors, and get out of the heaven!"

Stomping his foot against the ground, Priest Hua continued, "If you do not do what I said, you will regret!"

Donggong and Ximu stood aside, smiling. In terms of status and experience, they were no weaker than Priest Hua and Priest Mu, for which reason, Priest Hua and Priest Mu smartly left them alone. Zhu Rong Family was strong, and Ji Hao was a future member of that family. Therefore, Priest Mu and Priest Hua surely would not choose to bite a hard bone like this.

Ao Bai and Qing Qiang were master elders from the dragon-kind and phenix-kind, but they earned the weakest natural fortune from the heaven and were barely related to the heaven before they ascended to the thrones. They were clearly not qualified enough for the thrones, but for some external reason, they came to the thrones.

Priest Mu and Priest Hua chose them to threat, because that would be the most appropriate choice to make. Priest Mu and Priest Hua wouldn't risk taking a counterforce from the divine natural fortune and the great Dao of nature by threatening them.

Ao Bai's face was badly darkened. Earlier, he was brutally pushed into a trap by Ji Yao, ending up owing the world an immeasurable natural rewards power. But, before he tasted the sweetness of being a divine emperor, Priest Mu and Priest Hua showed up aggressively and threatened him.

They didn't say a word to Donggong, Ximu, or Zhu Rong, but chose him and Qing Qiang. Clearly, Priest Hua and Priest My despised Ao Bai and Qing Qiang.

"You free people are beyond the noisy world. How dare you reach your hands to the highest power of this world?" With hands clasped behind back, Ao Bai responded with an imperial tone, "The heaven is a sacred place. How can you free people...How can you wild people set foot in here without a permit? Go away as fast as you can. Otherwise, under the punishment of the world, you can perish at any moment."

Qing Qiang's slim and upturning eyes also sparked with a frosty light. Dragons and phoenixes had always been proud. Ever since the prehistorical era, dragons and phoenixes were used to bully the others, but they were hardly ever bullied.

Today, Priest Mu and Priest Hua obviously treated Ao Bai and Qing Qiang like pushovers. Who was Qing Qiang? How dare she let Priest Hua and Priest Mu talk to her like this? She clearly knew about Priest Mu and Priest Hua, but the phoenix-kind was never weak! More importantly, she had just become a divine empress, and she was in the heaven. The heaven was the ruler of the world; in the heaven, her every move could trigger vast natural powers. Therefore, she dared to put up a fight against a true saint right now.

Qing Qiang was too proud to even say a world. She wielded her right hand and pulled out a dazzling, cyan-colored longsword, which looked like a jade statue. She gave a sonorous roar, as her broad robe fluttered in the air like a pair of wings stretching behind her. She flashed across the air and dashed up to Priest Mu and Priest Hua instantly, launching a series of sword moves.

This place was the heaven while Qing Qiang was a new divine empress. Once she moved, the natural powers followed.

Stars shone in broad daylight. Streams of starlight poured down from the higher sky, flowing into Qing Qiang's body. Qing Qiang put forth merely ten percent of her power, yet the star power strengthened her by tens of thousands of times. Her sword lights descended like a heavy rain, seeming to even drown Priest Hua.

Priest Hua shouted out loud while wielding his pestle as he attempted to defend himself against Qing Qiang's sword.

Nevertheless, once he moved, a divine seal was triggered. Following a series of creaking noise, the air around him condensed into paper-thin but incredibly strong transparent screens, caging him.

Priest Hua was slowed down, and Qing Qiang's sword lights landed on him.

Along with a sizzling noise, Priest Hua's long robe turned into a puff of powder. Then, thin slashes were left on her body by the sword lights.

He growled with rage. Standing aside, Priest Mu grimly glanced at Qing Qiang, then raised his right hand. An enormous handprint roared out, flying to Qing Qiang like a towering mountain.

Ao Bai vented a resonant growl. As the hazy figure of Bixi moved slightly in the cloud behind him, he bent his body and charged, punching at Priest Mu's handprint. A sky-shaking bang was generated as a tremor went through Ao Bai's body. Countless blood veins bulged from under his skin, coiling around his body like wriggling boas while a terrifying pure strength erupted from his fist. He managed to stop Priest Mu's handprint and make it freeze in the air.

Priest Mu frowned slightly, looking at Ao Bai as he said, "Bixi, the strongest one among the dragon ancestor's nine sons. You deserve your reputation!"

Baring his teeth, Ao Bai stared at Priest Mu and laughed coldly, "Back then in the ancient time, my brother and I should have combined our powers and finished you two! Hehe, if you weren't friends of Saint Pan Gu, you would have become our food!"

Priest Mu made no reply as his face dropped. Suddenly, he burst into a raging shout, turned around, and cast a bolt of thunder.

As Priest Mu was confronting Ao Bai, Ji Hao moved behind him and quietly lunged his sword towards the back of Priest Mu's heart. Priest Mu reacted timely, but still, the Pan Gu sword pierced into his back.

Priest Mu punched at Ji Hao, and Ji Hao punched back.

Along with the boom, Ji Hao remained perfectly unmoved while Priest Mu staggered back for seven to eight steps, suffering a heavy punch from Ao Bai right on the face.
