Olga began to burn when the huge pillar of bright light, which was a symbol of divine and holy power, struck down.

The light was so bright and intense that it would probably blind anyone who saw it. Surprisingly enough, those who had witnessed it did not complain of pain. In fact, it did not feel glaring or sharp. Instead, it felt comfortable and cozy. But everyone could feel the enormous power hiding behind the gentle and warm feeling.

The baptism of such an intense and powerful light, which was enough to shake the entire world and cause an earthquake, slowly faded away, revealing a charred Olga. Every inch of the once green skin of the Malicious Spirit of Disease was turned black.

–Ugh… Ugh…

Davey looked at Olga, who couldn't regain its senses because of the pain. He then began to stomp and trample on the Malicious Spirit, but it wouldn't die, no matter how hard he tried.

–Did you think that you could kill me with something like this?

Olga turned to look at Davey.

With the exception of Davey, everyone thought it was quite odd that Malicious Spirit Olga maintained its composure even after getting completely scorched and charred by God's Light. Of course, Japan’s Awakened Union’s General Team Leader, Murata, looked devastated after witnessing the Malicious Spirit devour Kouna. After all, they had bet everything on her.

–I will not and will never die.

Even after Davey had burned most of Olga, which had emerged from the ground, it still moved around, so it definitely seemed that way to others. In fact, a normal being would've been appalled by Olga’s vitality, which could almost rival that of an immortal.

Although there was a chance that Olga would truly not die, Davey did not really care. He just grabbed Olga’s blabbering trap and said, “Hey, that’s enough. Open your mouth so I can save lives.”

As Davey forcefully opened Olga’s mouth, several shocked cries rang around him.

“What are you doing?!”

“Are you saying that you’ll go inside a living and breathing monster right now?!”

"It’s almost dead anyway. So what’s the problem with what I’m about to do?”

The restless and panicked Al Hajat clamped his mouth shut when he heard Davey’s answer. Then, with great difficulty, he said, “I… I see. Yes. And you have obviously shot it with a strong and deadly shot. Even so, the words that it said…”

“It’s fine,” Davey said.

Darkness that could rival the abyss greeted Davey when he opened Olga’s mouth, which was the very same mouth that had devoured Kouna. But he wasn’t actually concerned about the girl. He didn’t even care if she was indeed a celestial maiden or not.

He was simply doing this to save a patient that was already right in front of him. But for a moment, Davey wondered if he should truly save an idiot who recklessly attacked an enemy without understanding the limits of her own abilities. If this happened in Tionis, perhaps he would. But this was not his world, so he really did not care much about the girl.

Even then, he still jumped in, and as it turned out, the process was no different from what he intended to do before.

“Well then, you better do your best and try to digest me.”

Grrrrr… Regret… You will regret it. My digestive fluids will dissolve your body, and I will swallow up and absorb all of your powers until they become mine.

Olga cursed Davey, his hostility bright and glaring. But its words no longer reached Davey’s ears.

Vwooooong!

Countless tentacles stretched out not long after Davey jumped into Olga’s mouth, as if trying to trap him. This led Davey to gather a large amount of fire-attributed mana in his hand. Black flames then began to lick and gather at his fingertips.

“Whenever you eat something hot…”

Crackle, crackle!!! Boom!!!

“...you have to blow on it first.”

–Kihyeeeeeeeeck!!!

'What a waste,' Davey thought to himself when he saw the tentacles shriek after getting hit by the hellfire.

Perserque, who seemed to have read what was going on in Davey’s head, pinched and pulled his cheek while saying, “Don’t even dream about it.”

The color drained from her face, leaving only a deathly white complexion. It seemed like she was really scared of what Davey was thinking.

***

Olga, the Malicious Spirit of Disease, was a gigantic plant that moved and devoured all of the resources underground. Since it was a plant, it should have absorbed nutrients for photosynthesis just like any other plant. But Olga devoured all of the precious and rare resources found underground instead.

A huge space was connected inside Olga’s body. So, to be exact, Davey had only burned a small portion of its body. That was why it could arrogantly brag to Davey that it would never die like an immortal.

Based on the information Davey got from Kain, Olga shouldn't have grown to this size—she should have only reached tens of kilometers at most. So the fact that such a huge cave had been created inside its body meant Olga had already settled so deeply in this country and devoured a lot of resources.

“This is quite spacious for a living being’s stomach, huh?”

“How many times in a person's life can they experience being eaten by something?"

“The answer to that should be never. If you get eaten by something, then that usually means that you are already dead.”

That should be the case. But why was it that Davey had hundreds of experiences of being eaten?

“Davey? You don’t look good.”

“It’s nothing. I just feel like I’m having a bit of a stomach ache,” Davey said calmly as he quickened his pace.

He could feel a number of life forces inside Olga’s stomach. Given how big its insides were, it wouldn't be all that unusual if someone managed to survive after being consumed by the Malicious Spirit of Disease.

Thud!!!

Just then, Olga’s insides began to shake as a huge blast echoed from a distance.

Davey thought that it must have been the girl named Kouna running wild. He could sense how unstable her mana wavelength was, so he could tell how bad her condition was.

“Davey, they’re just over this wall. I can feel the fear.”

It was only natural for humans to be scared in the face of death.

“Hmm. If we walked over there, then it would take us a very long time. After all, this bastard is almost as large as Behemoth.”

Olga was roughly the same size as Behemoth, the stupidest yet largest of the three Kings of Mythical Beasts.

“If the road is blocked, then we should just make one,” Perserque said.

Davey then drew the mana in his body and placed his hand on the wall that blocked their path.

[Eighth Circle]

[Prometheus]

A scorching blue flame came to life in Davey’s hands. Seeing that the flames failed to burn the wall in an instant, Davey opted to melt it bit by bit. Once it started to melt away, he slowly began to enter.

Swoosh!!!

Hundreds of tentacles shot out, heading toward Davey and Perserque. But the protective barrier created from compressed air around them deflected the tentacles. Still, a single tentacle managed to escape, darting toward Perserque.

“Kyaaaack! Don’t come here!!!”

Davey saw Perserque turn pale in fright as she tore the tentacle away from her. He then playfully ripped a cluster of tentacles and thrust it close to her face.

“Don’t, don’t come here!!!”

Even though the tentacles had already been cut off from the main body, Perserque still looked very frightened. She even froze on the spot when one of the tentacles started to wrap around her.

“Da-Davey… This… Please…”

Perserque was gradually restrained as the cluster of tentacles began to slither and wrap around her. But it didn't take long before it started to pull her away.

The quite delightful scene seemed to be Olga’s digestive process. And while it was enjoyable to watch, Davey already had enough fun. Besides, he did not come here to play around. That was why he cast a Wind Cutter from three directions and directly cut the tentacles off of Perserque. Then he grabbed his flustered and fluttering wife and put her in his pocket.

“Let’s go.”

“Don’t… Don’t do that again… It feels so terrible…”

Perserque was exceptionally weak against tentacle-like and wriggling objects. Perhaps this fear stemmed from disgust, just like how a human would freak out at the sight of a cockroach.

‘Ah. Especially the ones with wings… They are good ingredients, though.’

As if they were alive, the tentacles moved and observed Davey, but they did not dare to confront him, seemingly afraid of him.

“Let… Let me go!!! I’m telling you, let me go!!!”

A shriek rang in Davey’s ears. He then headed to where the sound had come from.

After walking for a bit, he caught sight of a girl struggling against dozens of tentacles. Underneath her, there was a pool of sticky white liquid, which seemed to be Olga's digestive juices.

Just then, the tentacles that had been restraining her slithered until they wrapped around her entirely.

Something that was white was sucked out of the girl, causing her to groan. “Ugh…”

“An omnivore is truly amazing.”

The power of the celestial maiden, or the power of Xiezhi, was being drawn from her.

While she possessed a name that was similar to the celestial maidens of the Spirit Realm that Davey had met in the world of Murim, her power was different from theirs. It was also much more than what Davey had thought.

Knowing that the power of Xiezhi would be taken away completely if he didn’t immediately take action, Davey conjured a blade of wind and sliced the tentacles without hesitation.

“I… I don’t want to die… I don’t want to die!” Kouna screamed and struggled. It seemed like despair had completely overshadowed the fierce battle spirit that she was showing off before.

Just then, another cluster of tentacles grabbed her and dragged her to the thick pool of digestive fluids, seemingly enjoying her despair and fear.

“I… I don’t want to die!!! Onee-san!!! Onee-san, save me! Onee-san!!!” Kouna screamed and cried.

When her legs were about to be dragged and taken off of her body, Davey released a Wind Cutter and took care of the cluster of tentacles.

Once Kouna realized that the tentacles holding her in the air had been severed, her eyes snapped open.

Davey, who did not know what strange and complicated thoughts ran through his mind in that short amount of time, grabbed a nearby tentacle. Then he swung like Tarzan, grabbed Kouna in mid-air, and jumped down.

Kouna looked like a startled rabbit as she looked up at Davey, who suddenly swooped in to save her. She seemed shocked to see that there was someone else with her.

“Y… You…”

“...” Davey huffed when he saw her looking up at him in amazement. Then he said, “You’re heavy. Get off.”

“Kyaa!!!” Kouna screamed when Davey suddenly released his hold on her.

She crashed on the ground with a loud thud, causing her to groan.

Olga, the Malicious Spirit of Disease, was known for being a monster that released bacteria, viruses, and germs through the smoke that it released.

But Davey did not really care much about such an ordinary and cheap ability. His focus was on the established fact that Olga was a monster that devoured underground resources, including countless ores and precious gems.

‘What I mean is…’

This meant that by simply making Olga's stomach churn and quake, Davey could gain a great deal of precious ores, jewels, and a myriad of other valuable resources.

“Orichalcum or adamantium, anything would be good.”

That was right. Everything inside this bastard’s stomach was good. But the problem was that there was a nuisance present.

“Since I’m already here, then I should go and pay that guy a visit, no?”

Davey did not know why Olga had been frantically devouring oil and gathering his power, but it was highly likely that the main culprit was another Malicious Spirit.

Only lesser-ranked Malicious Spirits were able to traverse to Earth from where they were. But right now, deep inside Olga’s body, there was something that was making its presence known—an existence that was on an entirely different level from the other Malicious Spirits.

“Right. It feels like it’s going to pop out at any moment.”

It was a higher-ranking being.

Slash!!!

Davey cut the ground without any hesitation.

Then deep within Olga's body, a huge crack appeared, where the overwhelming momentum of the creature was coming from. It hadn’t been summoned yet. But Davey could already feel that it was on an entirely different level from the Malicious Spirits that he had met so far.

It was said that Malicious Spirits were beings that were strong enough to fight against Ancient Dragons during ancient times. On the other hand, Ancient Dragons were said to be completely different from ordinary but rare dragons. Of course, Eclipse was an exception. She was already out of the question.

–Fufufu… So, we have already come this far.

Olga’s voice rang.

–Welcome. This is my monarch’s throne. On the day that my monarch gets summoned, all of the humans of this land…

Olga’s voice suddenly trailed off. But then shortly after, Olga screamed.

–You… You bastard!!! What are you doing?!

It was only natural for her to react this way. After all, Davey started doing something right next to the gigantic crack that would summon its monarch.

“What am I doing? Well, I’m getting ready.”

Since ancient times, the best time to attack an enemy was during their transformation or their summoning.
