The Sweetest Medicine

chapter-342
She had to return to Baiyang City soon. But, if Fang Zhihan refused to return with her, would their relationship end there?
She liked Fang Zhihan. There was no doubt about it. She was nervous and embarrassed when she first realized it and didn’t know what to do, but, as time passed and she began to adjust to these complicated feelings and she discovered she actually wanted to be with him.
She wanted them to look at the sky together and watch the clouds float by; she wanted them to watch as the flowers bloomed and dried.
Yu Gangan hesitated for a moment and eventually asked the shop assistant to wrap up the tie.
She was going to tie Fang Zhihan up with this tie and take him back to Baiyang City with her.The winter sun was gentle and charming. Even though the cold wind was present, a sense of warmth quietly flowed in her heart.
After Yu Gangan stepped out of the car, she double-checked the bag in her hands to make sure she still had the item she bought: the tie that was for Fang Zhihan.
At that moment, a police car suddenly drove over and stopped beside her.
Two men in police uniform got out of the car and quickly walked over to Yu Gangan. They then asked with a solemn expression, “Hello, are you Miss Yu Gangan?”
Yu Gangan nodded her head, “Yes.”
“We are here because of He Shigui’s case. We need you to pay a visit to the police station,” one of the officers said.
…The Beijing Police Station was located on the North Ring Road of Beijing. It was an old building with three floors. If not for the sign out the front, one would simply walk past and assume it was a residential home.
Yu Gangan followed the two officers to the police station and was seated at a triangular table.
Although she wasn’t inside an interrogation room, it all felt particularly serious and nerve-wracking.
Soon, a cool and beautiful policewoman quickly approached.
The officer that was in the middle of pouring some water for Yu Gangan, immediately stood upright and saluted the woman, “Captain Zhou!”
Zhou Zhou raised her hand, gesturing for him to leave. She then removed her hat and sat down opposite Yu Gangan.
Her long black hair was bundled into a ponytail at the back of her head and she looked particularly neat and clean. She turned on the computer on her desk, looked up at Yu Gangan, and asked, “You are Yu Gangan?”
Yu Gangan nodded.
She then asked, “Is He Shigui your teacher?”
Yu Gangan nodded again.
After confirming the woman’s identity, Zhou Zhou opened a book and twirled a pen in her hand, “Your teacher has been missing for two months and twelve days. Did he contact you during this time?”
Yu Gangan shook her head.
“After I woke up from a car accident, my teacher disappeared. I filed a report at Baiyang City Police Station and they told me that Beijing was also investigating my teacher’s case and that you guys were working together, so I didn’t have to worry. They also said that I would be notified as soon as there was any news of my teacher. Am I here because you have news about him?”
Yu Gangan looked calm on the surface, but she was extremely anxious and terrified on the inside. She desperately hoped that Zhou Zhou would tell her that her teacher had been found and that he was fine.
But, of course, she knew that this was highly unlikely.
If they had found him, they would have contacted her straight away.
So, she was scared that they had bad news for her.
“No,” Zhou Zhou replied.
Yu Gangan’s anxiety eased a little.
Sometimes, no news was good news.
Zhou Zhou then said, “Originally, after your teacher disappeared, we should have interviewed you for clues as soon as possible. But, you ended up in a car accident and fell into a coma. Only when you woke up again, did we discover that your teacher’s disappearance may have something to do with a murder.”
