The Sweetest Medicine
-
chapter-72
Yu Gangan ate happily, unable to stop.
She practically ate more than half the ingredients in the pot and Fang Zhihan only ate a little.
Yu Gangan glanced at the man and probed, “Don’t you have work today? Or do you not have a job and you’re just an unemployed bum?”
Perhaps, being her husband was his job.
Fang Zhihan’s eyes flashed with realization at the woman’s words and he smiled lazily. With slight ridicule, he said, “Sorry to disappoint you.”“Oh?” Yu Gangan raised her eyebrows. “So you do have a job? Then what do you do? Don’t tell me you sell vegetables at the market.”
“Would I be able to support you by selling vegetables?” Fang Zhihan picked up a glass of water and took a sip.
“You sound like you make a lot of money. Don’t look down on vegetable sellers. There are plenty of rich vegetable sellers,” Yu Gangan knew the man was beating around the bush and had no intention to tell her the truth. But, she knew he couldn’t be bothered lying either.
“I, at least, make more than you. Otherwise, how could I afford to support you,” Fang Zhihan replied.
“It’s no fun talking to you. What do you mean you’re supporting me? You don’t even pay rent! If I was to rent your room to someone else, they would have put down a deposit and a few months rent,” Yu Gangan said in seriousness.
Fang Zhihan was confused, “Why should I pay rent for living in your place?”
Yu Gangan held onto her bowl and continued eating. Her lips were red and her cheeks were smooth and delicate like a boiled egg. This woman was certainly beautiful and attractive.Yu Gangan swallowed the food in her mouth and asked, “Why not?”
Fang Zhihan stretched out his long hand and his fair-skinned finger gently brushed her nose, “Which husband pays his wife rent to live in her home?”
Yu Gangan suddenly felt the food in her mouth was really hot.
Why was she even talking to him?
There was all this good food in front of her, but rather than enjoying it, she was having a pointless conversation with this man. She should have ignored him.
This man’s personality was just like his slightly curved eyes suggested: he was like a fox.
“Little Pervert,” Fang Zhihan suddenly called out.
Yu Gangan lifted her head and looked at Fang Zhihan with a mouth full of food. After swallowing, she reiterated with seriousness, “Call my name.”
Fang Zhihan looked quietly in her eyes and did not say a thing, “…”
Seeing that the man called her but simply stared at her without saying anything, she asked, “What do you want?”
The man’s lips curved upwards into a good-looking angle, “Nothing, I just wanted to call you.”
Yu Gangan: “…”
She placed a piece of wagyu beef in her mouth and started chewing roughly as though she was chewing up Fang Zhihan.
A moment later, she said in a deliberately sinister voice, “Mr. Fang, you know I’m a doctor of Chinese medicine, right?”
Fang Zhihan nodded his head.
“You probably don’t know this, but I’m also a doctor that likes to experiment with ancient herbs. When I was 18, I discovered a recipe for an embarrassing disease. Would you like to know the effects of this recipe?” Yu Gangan asked.
“What?” Fang Zhihan copied Yu Gangan and pretended to be curious like her.
“Since I said it’s embarrassing, then it’s naturally an unmentionable disease. In ancient times, unmentionable diseases were always related to impotence. This is exactly the effect of this recipe.”
“Ohhh?” Fang Zhihan asked.
Yu Gangan naively and innocently smiled at the man, “If you call me Little Pervert again, I will use that recipe on you.”
