The Sweetest Medicine
-
chapter-79
Seeing the frantic look on her face, Fang Zhihan’s lips gently curved upwards, “Why should I give it to you?”
Yu Gangan opened her mouth in shock as she looked at the man helplessly. Filled with complaints, she knew she had to destroy such an ugly photo and not allow it to spread.
“It’s my photo, so, of course, you have to give it to me,” Yu Gangan softened her tone and laughed.
“Ohhh,” Fang Zhihan stretched out this one dull word, not hiding the refusal in his eyes. He had no intention of giving the photo to her.
“As long as you give it to me, I’m willing to do anything,” Yu Gangan said calmly.Fang Zhihan raised his eyes a little, “Will you really do anything?”
Of course, she couldn’t just do anything.
Yu Gangan realized these words were like a trap filled with scheming. So, with a smile, she said casually, “It’s just a photo. If you want it, then take it. I don’t care at all.”
Don’t care? How could she not care?
No woman could stand having an ugly photo of themselves in the hands of a person with bad intent.
Yu Gangan naturally wouldn’t allow it either.
Since this was her home and he wouldn’t give it to her – then she was taking it.As long as the photo was still in her home, then she was going to find it.
Yu Gangan waited until Fang Zhihan fell asleep before she quietly appeared in front of his bedroom door. She was the real owner of this bedroom, so she naturally had the keys to it.
But, Fang Zhihan was sleeping with the door unlocked.
The bedroom was dark and Fang Zhihan was laying on the bed with one arm covering his eyes. It appeared as though he was already asleep.
Just to be safe, Yu Gangan stood by the door for a little bit. After she confirmed that Fang Zhihan wasn’t waking up, she gently entered the room.
There were only two places in her room where the photo could be: her study table and her bedside drawer.
Most of the things on the study table belonged to her, so she briefly flipped through them.
Unable to find the photo she was looking for, she had no choice but to look in the bedside drawer.
But, even though this was her room, she couldn’t understand why her guilt grew the longer she stayed inside. It was like she was a thief.
Yu Gangan glanced at Fang Zhihan and tiptoed over to the bed. She then opened the drawers slowly.
At that moment, the room suddenly lit up.
Yu Gangan froze as her heart raced. She lifted her eyes and it met with a deep gaze.
Fang Zhihan had woken up and turned on the bedside lamp.
The man lazily leaned back on the headboard as the light from the lamp fell on his body, casting a golden glow that highlighted his face and jawline; it was as perfect as a sculpture. His sharp eyes were filled with awareness; there were no signs of having just woken up.
It seemed, he was never asleep to begin with.
Yu Gangan’s eyes quivered a little as she held back her panic with a slight smile.
Fang Zhihan pursed his lips and asked, “What are you doing in my room in the middle of the night?”
Yu Gangan retreated quietly, distancing herself from the man and forced a slight chuckle, “I came here to look for something.”
“What are you looking for?”
Fang Zhihan got up from the bed; his tall and strong body felt strangely suffocating.
“I’m looking for some clothes that I want to wear tomorrow. I forgot to bring them with me…” Yu Gangan glanced at the door guiltily, prepared to leave.
But, just as she turned around, her wrist was held back. With a strength that couldn’t be retaliated, she was pulled over and pinned against the wall behind the bedside drawer.
Yu Gangan was trapped between Fang Zhihan’s chest and the wall as Fang Zhihan’s deep voice resounded, “If you’re looking for clothes, why are you looking in the bedside drawer?”
Yu Gangan: “…”
