Transmigration of the Famous Cyber Star

chapter-94
“To be honest, I am inclined to give you this opportunity. But there are people in the company who disagree, and I must listen to their opinions. They mainly disagree because you are still a student and you don’t have an occupation, so you don’t have a place to work. Unless you can find a businessman to vouch for you,” Huang Shiting said, then suddenly thought of a man fitting for this requirement, “Such as Mr. Yu. If Mr. Yu is willing to vouch for you, then I believe no one in my company will disagree. You should go discuss with him, and if there are no issues, you can contact me again.”
Mr. Yu…
Liu Man thought of that note in the box. Manager Huang wrote “Mr. Yu” on that note.
Yu Zhan personally knew Manager Huang?
Liu Man immediately called Yu Zhang after hanging up Huang Shiting’s call. She hurriedly asked him, “Do you know Manager Huang?”Yu Zhan was very confused, “Who’s Manager Huang?”
“The Manager Huang of Hong Kong Westland.”
Yu Zhan immediately realized it was about the last time when he helped Liu Man buy cat food.
“I don’t know him, but a friend of mine probably does. Why are you suddenly asking me about him?”
Liu Man told Yu Zhan everything.
Yu Zhan felt very astonished after hearing it all, “You are aspiring for a lot. You want to be the online dealer for Cats’ Garden cat food.”
“Manager Huang said that as long as you are willing to vouch for me, he will authorize me.”“It’s not a big deal for me to vouch for you, but I think we have to go to Hong Kong and meet this Manager Huang to make this work. Do you have time? Don’t you have school?”
“My school opens on the fourth of this month. Today’s just the first, so there are still two days. There’s still time.”
Yu Zhan could hear the urgency in Liu Man’s voice, but he didn’t understand why Liu Man treated the cat food dealing rights so crucial as if it was a straw that would save her life.
“Do you have the Exit-Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao? If not, you will need some time to get one.”
“I do,” Liu Man felt lucky that the former owner of this body was a crazy AJ collector and went to Hong Kong before merely to buy AJs.
Liu Man called Manager Huang again. Yu Zhan wasn’t wrong; Manager Huang did want to meet them to discuss further details. Manager Huang said, “After you buy your plane tickets, send me the flight number and landing time, so I can have someone pick you up.”
This wasn’t something to be delayed. Yu Zhan immediately bought two tickets flying from the capital to Hong Kong that day.
Liu Man told Zhang Pei that she was going to Hong Kong.
Zhang Pei was surprised, “School is about to start. Why are you suddenly going to Hong Kong?”
“I’m planning on earning money by becoming a cat food dealer. I’ve already contacted the company there.”
Zhang Pei was even more surprised,
She admitted that ever since her husband got in the incident, she had put her whole heart into solving his problems and had been ignoring her daughter. But how did her daughter become someone that she almost couldn’t even recognize?
A cyber live-streamer. A part-time actor. And now, she wanted to be a cat food dealer.
When did her daughter become so outstanding?
Is she growing under these difficult conditions?
“Are you going to Hong Kong by yourself?”
Liu Man was going to say she was traveling with Yu Zhan. But after a second thought, if her mother knew she was traveling with a man with nobody else around, she probably wouldn’t agree to it.
“Yes, it’s just me. I’ve been staying in Shanghai for twenty days, and there wasn’t an issue. Besides, there will be someone in Hong Kong to pick me up, and I’ll be back in two days. Don’t worry, mom. I’ll be aware of my safety.”
“If you want to go, then go. Make sure to send a message to me after you get there.”
After receiving her mother’s permission, Liu Man immediately went back to her bedroom to pack up. Zhang Pei watched her disappear into her bedroom with complex emotions in her eyes.
The plane was departing at ten past six in the afternoon. After Yu Zhan took care of Paul, he drove to Liu Man’s compound at four to pick her up.
Liu Man had just come back from Shanghai ten days ago, and now she was heading to Hong Kong without resting. Her schedule was tight, and she made Yu Zhan busy, too.
At nine-forty in the evening, the pair arrived at Hong Kong airport. As soon as Liu Man got off the plane, a man who talked in a thick Hong Kong accent called her. He said his name was John and was Manager Huang’s assistant. He and Manager Huang were waiting outside for them, and one of them was wearing a black t-shirt while the other was wearing a gray one.
Manager Huang did tell Liu Man there would be someone to pick them up, but Liu Man never thought Manager Huang would come to pick them up in person.
The temperature was high in Hong Kong. Everyone was wearing shirts and shorts at the beginning of March. Liu Man and Yu Zhan took their jackets off and decided to change their clothes at the hotel so Manager Huang wouldn’t have to wait for long.
When they reached the pick-up place, Liu Man and Yu Zhan glanced around and quickly found two men, who were each wearing a black and gray t-shirt.
The two seemed to have noticed them, too, for they took the initiative to come to them.
The man who had on a gray t-shirt looked older. He wasn’t tall and was a bit fat, but he had on a huge smile, “Miss Liu and Mr. Yu, hello. I’m Huang Shiting.”
Liu Man walked up and said, “Hello, I’m Liu Man.”
Yu Zhan politely nodded and gave a small smile, which gave people a feeling of the spring wind, “Hello, I’m Yu Zhan.”
Huang Shiting thought, No wonder he’s a child of the Yu family. He’s well brought-up.
His “girlfriend” was also very outstanding. She looked refreshed and innocent, but she wasn’t gaudy. She was modest and wasn’t arrogant. Her dignified posture made her seem like the daughter of a prestigious family.
Huang Shiting gave them each a full score on his first impression of them.
Huang Shiting pointed at the skinny, young man with a darker shade of skin color, who was wearing a black t-shirt, “He’s my assistant, John.”
The group politely exchanged greetings.
It was getting late, and Huang Shiting directly sent the pair to Four Seasons Hotel, where John had already reserved rooms. They agreed to a time when John would be giving them a ride to the Hong Kong Westland company, where they would be having a meeting.
They waved goodbye to Huang Shiting and his assistant at the entrance of the hotel. Yu Zhan looked at the keycard Liu Man was holding, which John gave to her before he left, “They only reserved one room. They probably think we’re a couple. It’s such a misunderstanding…”
Liu Man felt the hotness in her face. Yu Zhan knew she would be shy and laughed, “Sit on the sofa for a moment; I’ll go get another room.”
Liu Man nodded and sat down on the sofa obediently. Her face blushed even more as she watched Yu Zhan walk away with his long legs and lean waist.
Because they didn’t reserve their rooms at the same time, Liu Man and Yu Zhan’s rooms were not on the same floor. Yu Zhan let her live in the room on the higher floor.
He accompanied her to her room and reminded her, “If something happens, call me, and I’ll be right here. You’re not allowed to come out without telling me beforehand.”
“I’m not a child. You think I would get lost?” Liu Man did not give in.
Yu Zhan reached out his hand and suddenly patted her head, like how he pets Daylight and Paul’s heads. He then mocked her,
“You are a child.”
Liu Man numbly watched Yu Zhan walk away, got onto an elevator, and left. She could still feel the temperature left on her head when Yu Zhan’s palm touched it. Unconsciously, she had become so close to Yu Zhan.
