Gu Xijiu felt much better after her nap. Upon waking, she felt stronger and healthier. Gu Xijiu opened her eyes and noticed that Di Fuyi was already awake but still continued to hug her and make her feel comfortable. Did he keep this position all through the night? It must have been draining!

Gu Xijiu felt guilty in her heart. She rolled herself out of his arms and said, “Did I make your limbs numb? Let’s get up and stretch your muscles.”

Di Fuyi did not talk. He merely got up and moved his limbs while walking around the house. He was born as an elegant person, so even when he was moving his hands and feet freely, it was still pleasing to watch.

All of a sudden, he turned his head and stared at her. Gu Xijiu’s face turned red instantly as she just realized that she had been observing him for a few minutes. Perhaps, this was the first time she observed someone for so long for no apparent reason.

With an evident cough, she calmly moved her eyes away. Trying to look as though she was busy with something else, she inductively touched the body and realized that her spiritual power had recovered a bit. Although she was nowhere near ready to fight, her ability to move about quickly was restored. She could now freely move in the ice house, and no longer sweat.

Based on her inferences, she concluded that his arms were the actual source of her recovery! Evidently, this person was really her lucky star! However, given what she had done to him, Gu Xijiu did not know whether she should feel lucky or embarrassed right now. She could not help but look at him again and wonder what he was thinking.

Di Fuyi stopped again and gazed at her quietly. His eyes were intensely black like the night, and when they were focused on Gu Xijiu, she could not help but feel flustered.

She pondered for a moment and said, “The next time I sleep in your arms, you can move about. You don’t have to sit so straight as it will strain your muscles.”

Di Fuyi looked down to the ground and replied, “Okay.”

Subconsciously, Gu Xijiu heaved a sighed. She was not used to seeing Di Fuyi behave so obediently.

Later, she was distracted by a rumbling in her tummy. It seemed that she was hungry again, and her stomach was screaming to her for a response. She really wanted to go out and see if she could practice in the cold wind to improve her recovery. However, when she went to the door, she realized that it was somehow unable to open. It seemed that the door was made out of some heavy metal, which she could not push aside with her current strength. She was still very weak, perhaps only having the strength of a little kid.

Her inability to open the door on her own made her feel demotivated. She stood at the door for a moment and then turned to look at Di Fuyi and asked, “Can you help me open the door?”

Di Fuyi walked over silently and gently pushed the door open for her. Then, Gu Xijiu walked out to see if her body could cope with the weather outside. She shuddered as soon as she came out! The wind was chilly and drilled straight into her bones. Meanwhile, her hands and feet quickly turned cold, and goosebumps came out one after another.

Adamant to see her surroundings, she resisted the cold and looked around. The construction of this ice house was very secure, and it was well-positioned. Behind the house, there was a giant ice cliff. There were ice peaks on the left and right of the cliff, but the space in front of it was open land. In this way, the strong wind would not cause any danger to the house.

On the walls of the igloo, there was a very quaint pattern engraved around it. Gu Xijiu stared at the design for a moment as she found it to be a bit familiar. She felt like she had seen it some years ago but could not seem to recall the details.

“Who taught you how to carve this pattern?” She could not help but ask him.

“I learned it without a teacher.”

Gu Xijiu looked at him again and sighed. “The engraving looks very mature. It does not seem like something that one can learn without a teacher. Are you the reincarnation of an ancient god? Can you somehow still recall your abilities?”

Di Fuyi gently smiled and finally asked her, “If I am an ancient god, would you know me?”

Gu Xijiu remained silent. She did feel that he looked a little bit familiar to her. Unfortunately, she really could not recall anything because it all happened a long time ago. Nevertheless, she did not feel obliged to tell him that.
