Demiliore Castle, Noxville, Sameran City, Netheria
Keith silently stood outside the room that belonged to Qingyue, and right next to him was his blonde wife, who was leaning against the wall with her arms folded on her chest.
Both of them were quiet as they waited for something, and what they were waiting for was Celine, who had gone inside to come clean to her dear daughter about her love affair with Keith.
Celine had decided on it earlier this month when he took her to Rosewich City. She had talked to him about it, and he agreed that Qingyue should know about it before their planned private wedding that was going to take place on the 27th of September, her birthday. The reason why Celine had not held this talk earlier was that Keith had his official wedding with Kiara planned for the 21st of September, and she did not want to take any risks or spoil their mood.
Now, the Angelini Family and the Demiliore Family were officially related by another marriage, and even though this wedding had been on cards for several years now, it was still a topic that was running in the news for the third consecutive day.
Since Keith had already wed Kiara in private three years ago, this wedding was only meant for a public appearance, and both the families had gone all out on it, expending a handsome fortune on several social initiatives including two new hospitals, two free of charge, state-of-the-art Schools, and two community clubs for old folks in the city.
Additionally, Amelia had declared the ballot for their new Residential Building, whose all occupants were decided through a lottery, but only those with a good social record and social achievements could participate in it, and all of the participants had to be financially incapable of buying this property.
Needless to say that her decision was welcomed by everyone, and 40 resident families of the new building were forever grateful to her and the Black Forest Group for making their dream come true.
And Amelia made sure that people knew why she did it, as she made Kiara hand out the deeds of the property to these 40 lucky winners.
Her action put to rest the false rumours and speculation that there was going to be a fight within the Demiliore Family over the position of the next Lady of the House. But it was clear now that Amelia had no interest in competing over it with her Sister-Wives.Rebecca was more straightforward and vocal about it, and she had lambasted a reporter who tried to suggest a dispute within her family over Kiara's wedding to Keith and being named the future lady of the Demiliore Family.
She had made it clear that she was not interested in such a position and that she was happy with the way things were.
Keith sighed in his heart when he realised what was happening in his family. He knew all of them very well, and he knew that they were all lying.
He could see and feel that they all wanted the position of the Main Lady of the Family, and even Amelia was adamant about keeping everyone in their place, though her methods were a little too subtle.
Rebecca was naturally competitive, it was the same for Kiara, even if she never showed it, and needless to say, the girl who was born to rule over the Worlds, his beloved Amelia, was an inborn Empress. And then there was Qingyue, the one he was a little worried about since he was aware of her nature.
She was the most sensitive of them all, and he knew that she was prone to fall envious of and feel competitive about everything even if she finds someone better than her in some mundane things.
The only reason she was jelling in well with his wives was that she deeply cared about them, and the only reason she openly fought with Rebecca from time to time was that she cared about her the least.
Keith could not help but break out into chuckles, and his blonde bride raised her brow at him, somehow sure that he was thinking something that concerned her.
"Care to share what's on your mind, dear husband?"
"Was just wondering how dangerous you all are." He shrugged and casually replied, evoking a smile on her face.
"And?"
"And how silly you all would be to ignore the real threat and vie for something that you can't get." He smiled at her, looking right into her eyes.
Rebecca frowned as she understood what he was talking about, but then shook her head, dispersing her thoughts.
"You don't have to worry about me." She walked over to him and planted a kiss on his neck. "I have no intentions of competing against the one you love the most, my dear husband. But rest are a fair game."
He knew who she was referring to. After all, he knew whom he loved the most in his life.
Keith sighed and he wrapped her arms around her and hugged her, squeezing her against him.
"I love you." He said and planted a kiss on her head.
"I know." She replied. "And I love you more than you could love me."
"I know." He chuckled and rested his cheek on her head, enjoying her warmth.
"Keith."
"Yes, Love?"
"Can we go to Seychelles next month?"
"Of course."
"Thank you!" She happily smiled and then squeezed him in her arms, hugging him with all her strength.
The two of them stayed in each other's embrace for a while before the door of the room opened, and they separated to take a look at Celine, who had clearly been crying.
Rebecca frowned and tried to step inside the room to confront Qingyue, but Keith grabbed her hand and shook his head.
"Take her to the room." He said before he walked past them and locked the door behind him.
"I don't want to talk to you right now, Keith." A cold voice sounded out, and the source of it was standing next to the window, looking at the Noxville.
"But I do."
Her body trembled slightly, and he knew that it was in the rage that had suddenly bubbled up in her heart.
"Do you hate me now?" He ignored her state of mind and hammered a question at her.
Had it been someone who had lost control over her emotions, she would have probably lashed out at him telling him that she did indeed hate him, but Qingyue was not the girl who she used to be three years ago.
But all that answered him was silence, and then, a while later, she raised a question.
"Do you love her, Keith?"
"I care about her. Love having her around me. And I don't intend to ever lose her."
His answer was not straightforward, but it was profound enough for her.
"Is that why you kept this from me for three years? For her sake?"
Keith was a little surprised that Qingyue understood the reason why he had kept it from her, but at the same time, he was not too surprised.
"Yes. I wanted her to muster up the courage and speak about our relationship with you. She needed to be strong enough to accept her feelings for me and not be shy or scared about them."
"Do you feel guilty about keeping it from me for three years, Keith?"
"No." He truthfully replied as he stepped forward and stood next to her, glancing at her tear-stained face before turning his eyes to the beautiful scenery she was vacantly staring at. "I don't regret my decision."
"It hurts, Keith."
"It is life, Qingyue." He lightly smiled. "And we are going to live to the end of times. A very long life."
"So you are going to hurt me more?" She narrowed her eyes and turned to look at him.
"There will come a time when you won't get hurt, my Love."
"And when would that be?"
"When we have known each other to the last bit."
"But you keep things from me!" She raised her voice in agitation, and a new series of warm tears slipped out of her gorgeous sterling-grey eyes.
"I keep things from everyone." He turned to look her in her eyes. "I only reveal things to someone I care about when they are ready to handle the weight of them."
"It's not fair..." She trembled and lowered her head.
"May I hug you?" He smiled and asked out of the blue, and Qingyue stilled when she heard his words.
There was a brief silence between them before she raised her head, and her eyes were angrily looking at him as if he had said something unacceptable to her.
"Since when do you need permission to hug me, Keith?"
"I don't." He shook his head and playfully smiled. "I would have hugged you even if you had said no." He told her right before he pulled her into his arms, caging her in his hold. "There's something you should know, my dear Qingyue. You can not escape me, ever."
"Hmph!" She struggled a little in his arms at his overbearing words, but her face that was hidden in his chest bore a sweet smile on it. "Don't hurt her, Keith..."
"I would never let anyone of you fall apart." He promised.
"Don't interfere between us for the next few days." She told him.
He chuckled when he heard her words and then shook his head.
"And you asked me to not hurt her."
"She kept it from me for three years. She deserves my silence for at least a week."
"I see."
"You know, you have a very special scent."
"I know."
"And I have found her engulfed in it from time to time."
"I see."
He knew what she meant. And what she meant was that she had her guesses about their relationship.
"Keith."
"Yes?"
He looked down and meant her gorgeous eyes.
"I want a daughter."
He raised his brow in curiosity, and Qingyue smiled at how he was not even surprised at her demand.
And he was not. Because Rebecca wanted the same thing.
"You don't mind?"
"Why would I mind?" He questioned back, earning a bright smile from her. "But if you want one, I think we should start practising for it right away."
"No!" Qingyue immediately pushed him away, suppressing her blush. "Get out of my room. And you are not allowed to see me again before our wedding!"
Keith chuckled at her words and then stepped forward, pulling her chin up and capturing her lips.
"I know you want me, silly girl. And so do I." He told her before he stepped away, leaving her alone in the room, adorned in an adorable blush.
