chapter-494
''Are you alright?'' Luna immediately asked after Isaac returned to District Ten.
''Yes, he got arrested,'' Isaac replied while checking the time on his wristwatch. He didn't expect to wrap this up so quickly. However, another challenge was looming in the distance.
''E-Excuse me.'' Isaac and Luna turned around and saw the news reporter holding her microphone while the cameraman recorded them. She looked quite shy with pink cheeks.
''Yes?'' Luna said with a tilt of her head.
''C-Can I get your interview, mister Wraith.'' Linda held the microphone tightly and looked almost like she was pleading.''Me?'' Isaac pointed at himself and was surprised for a moment. Then, he pondered before sighing and nodding, ''Sure.''
''R-Really?!'' Linda exclaimed in happiness and motioned for the cameraman to move to the side so he could give citizens a better viewing experience.
Luna crossed her arms and walked to the sidelines.
Linda moved the microphone closer to Isaac and asked, ''What is your reason for visiting Happylaugh?''
''Vacation,'' Isaac replied.
Linda nodded and then asked, ''Since when you were Chain Breaker?''
''Hmm, a few months ago.'' Isaac lied with a straight face.''What is your Legacy?'' Linda and the citizens held their breaths. It was quite a common question, but not many would answer it.
Isaac turned silent and tapped his finger against his leg. There was a 'war' in White Online forums, where people debated which Legacy Isaac had. They were sure that he had Legacy and that it was Marksman related.
People made polls, and the current voting situation was this:
1. Chris Kyle - 31,48 %
2. Vasily Zaytsev - 28,67 %
3. Carlos Hathcock - 19,45 %
4. Simo Häyhä - 19,33 %
5. Abelbert Waldron - 1,07 %
…
Isaac's lips curved slightly upwards, and he said, ''My legacy is White Death, Simo Häyhä.''
Linda covered her mouth in shock. She didn't expect to receive a reply and was beyond excited after receiving one!
Even the cameraman's hands slightly trembled at the sudden answer.
''A-Alright.'' Linda then had one more question, which was a slightly more serious type of question.
She cleared her throat and asked, ''What do you think about the Registration Law, which states that every Chain Breaker has to register their legacies in any Government Facility.''
This was news that bombarded every news station a few months ago. It was still a widely-spoken topic.
''I think it's good.'' Isaac crossed his arms and continued, ''The Rogue Chain Breakers are doing whatever they please because they are drunk on their power and think that nothing can happen to them.
''With Registration Law, we could easily spot the Rogue Chain Breakers. If they had an evil legacy, Government would keep a closer look on them, so I think it's a must-have.''
''What if someone doesn't register? That is a common counter-argument used online.''
''Yeah, but the ones who don't register can't keep their powers hidden forever.'' Isaac said and looked straight into the camera, ''People forget that we also have White Online, and in my opinion, hiding your legacy in one world is doable, but what about in two?''
Linda became thoughtful and thought that Isaac's words made a lot of sense. After waking up from her stupor, she bowed and thanked him for the interview.
Isaac waved his hand and left with Luna.
''What should we do now?'' Luna asked as they left the main street and walked on the snow-coated sidewalks.
The amount of snow in Laughshow was lesser than in Starshow, and the weather was warmer.
''You go pack, and I will go visit an old friend,'' Isaac said while gazing towards the darkening sky. The storm was brewing, and even the citizens noticed that the climate had changed.
''Will you be alright?'' Luna asked as she was about to turn left towards the street that led to the hotel.
''Yes,'' Isaac said and whistled. A nearby cab driver heard his whistle and drove his taxi next to him.
He entered the taxi and said, ''Take me to Mount Faji.''
''Yes, sir.'' The cab driver said and started driving.
Luna watched as the tail lights got more distant. She sighed and turned around to begin her walk to the hotel.
…
After half an hour, the taxi arrived at the forest that was at the bottom of Mount Faji. The cab driver said that he wouldn't drive further than this.
Isaac paid for the driver and left the taxi. The enormous City of Happylaugh was under the shade of Mount Faji. Next to the mountain, the City looked quite small.
There was a snow-coated forest surrounding the mountain, but with ten minutes of walking, Isaac would arrive at the bottom of the mountain.
He started walking, and after going through the forest area, he arrived at the bottom of Mount Faji. Almost immediately, he jumped and crossed nearly five hundred meters with a single leap. He continued doing that until he was at 3km height and reached the top of the mountain.
Once he sat down on top of a large boulder that was situated on top of the mountain, he could see the dark clouds that blanketed the sky. There was a storm raging not far away, and it was going straight towards him.
After another ten minutes, a dark dot appeared in the distance, and then the sound of the helicopter's rotors echoed across the sky.
Heavy pressure engulfed the mountain and the surrounding forest.
In Happylaugh, the citizens looked toward the sky and wondered whether a storm was coming. A flash of lightning raged above the dark clouds, and the wind grew stronger.
''…'' Luna silently watched as the dark clouds got closer. She was in her and Isaac's hotel room.
The TV showed the previous News.
''Why he doesn't want my help?'' She pouted and felt like kicking the chair over, ''What is he trying to accomplish? Wanting to worry me to death?''
The scene was like from an apocalypse movie. The thick layer of clouds looked like a dark blanket that corrupted the blue sky.
The citizens were already running inside, away from the storm.
''Well, I guess I will keep this City safe meanwhile.'' Luna took out her wand and calmly said, ''Luna's Magic, Nine Circular, Veil of Love!''
