chapter-556
Somewhere in Winterland.
A cold wind blew over an octagon-shaped prison. Four tall watch towers kept an eye on the inmates. A grayish sky combined with falling snow created an atmosphere of inhumanity and crudeness.
The roaring of the inmates echoed in the background.
A short black-haired man listened to the roaring with his eyes closed. The prison cell was small, with a bunk bed, a small toilet, and a sink. At the top of the bunk bed, a large man with a round belly and stomach-length beard snored loudly.
Clang, clang. At that moment, a Prison Guard clicked his keys against the prison bars, ''Oliver. You have a visitor!''
Oliver opened his eyes and stood up from the bed. He turned around and stretched his hands towards the prison bars. The Guard grabbed his wrists and cuffed them.
Then, he opened the cell and led Oliver towards the end of Prison Block A.
The inmates shouted across the Block, some hostile and some laughter. As soon as they saw an Oliver, they sent a flurry of taunts, causing a dark look to appear on his face.
Leaving Block A, The Guard led Oliver to the visitor room. After entering through a door with a large window, Oliver saw a man in a suit, sitting with his suitcase on the table.
''Your lawyer.'' The Prison Guard said and left the room.
Oliver frowned and walked to the chair with cuffs hindering his movements.''Hello, Mister Oliver.'' The visitor said with a gentle smile.
''Who are you? You aren't my lawyer.'' Oliver asked with some degree of hostility. After spending a year in prison, he learned not to trust anyone.
''That's right, I am not. But, I am someone far more important,'' The visitor said. Putting the suitcase on the floor, he pulled out a paper from his front pocket, which he forwarded to Oliver.
Oliver took the paper, frowning.
''I am from an organization called Sword of Myth. It must be a foreign concept to you. We haven't been known for a long time.''
''And?'' Oliver checked the paper, and it was blank.
''While your lawyer can't get you out, we can.'' The visitor's words caused an obvious face of disbelief from Oliver.
''As if!'' Oliver snorted, ''If you are that powerful, why do you have to act as my lawyer?''
The visitor chuckled, nodding at his quick wits, ''True. We aren't that liked by the public at the moment, and they would want us as far from prisons as possible.''
Oliver listened silently, slightly disinterested at this point.
''However, you have a grudge with Isaac Whitelock, don't you?''
Oliver's face reddened with anger, ''Don't say that name in my presence!''
''Hehe, I take that as yes.'' The visitor leaned against his hand, playfully smiling, ''If we can get you out of here, can you help us to ruin him?''
Oliver's disinterested face disappeared, asking, ''What do you need me to do?''
''Once we break you out, Isaac will hear about it. You will come with us to a remote facility and act as bait. If he knows where you are, he will come after you.''
''Bait?'' Oliver clicked his tongue but didn't cross that option yet, ''What are you planning to do to him?''
''My General is very displeased at him and wants to kill him.''
''Hmph, good!'' Oliver didn't care about anything else. He shook the visitor's hand, ''Get me out of here.''
''Yes, soon.'' The visitor said and motioned for the Guards to open the door, ''The world has changed, and Isaac isn't the same anymore. Hundred of you wouldn't be able to scratch him. But, luckily, we can.''
The Prison Guard opened the door and dragged Oliver out of the room.
While getting dragged, Oliver looked at the visitor's cold eyes. Those eyes were full of conviction and ruthlessness. These were the people he could trust to help with his revenge.
A chilling grin appeared on Oliver's face, 'Isaac, I will destroy you!'
…
Somewhere in space, a thousand kilometers long spaceships flew past dead planets and glowing stars.
At the ship's command deck, a two-horned Demon with bronze skin, and dragon-like scale arms, stood mightily at the center of the deck.
There were hundreds of mutated goblin-like Demons controlling the ship.
Whoosh.
The automated doors slid open as two demons dragged a beaten-up man towards the two-horned Demon.
The dirt covered most of his face. However, the damp blond hair and mighty presence revealed that he wasn't a nobody.
''Hands off me peasants, I am the great God Thor!'' The beaten-up man shouted while trying to shrug off the Demons hands. However, it looked like his power was gone, making him look like a mortal man.
''Thor… nice to meet you.'' The two-horned man turned around slowly, revealing his wise face, ''My name is Laxus, the Demon General of this Ship.''
''Demon General…'' Thor muttered with surprise, ''W-Why… are you here?''
Laxus stepped forth, grabbing from Thor's dirty blond hair, ''You are not allowed to ask questions from me. Now, quiet weak God!''
Slap!
A slap resounded in the air as Laxus' hand smacked across Thor's bruised cheek.
''Ptui!'' several teeth flew as Thor spat out blood.
''Now, do you want a painful death or painless?'' Laxus asked while putting his foot down at Thor's head, pushing his head till it licked the floor, ''Tell me the location of the Mortal World, and painless it shall be.''
''Hah… hah… hah…'' Peals of exhausted laughter left Thor's mouth, ''Y-You won't kill me…''
''And why not?'' Laxus pushed his head down stronger, breaking the tiles.
''Ugh…'' Slanting his head to the left, Thor uttered the words through pain, ''B-Because… finding that world is all that matters! I am the only one here who knows. Thus the Demon Kings would be very displeased if they have to wait much longer because you killed me!''
Laxus coldly removed his feet, ''Fine, you win… well, that is the wrong term. You might have won the battle, but you will bleed for the war.''
''?'' Thor didn't understand what he meant by that.
Laxus grinned, waving his hand, he said, ''Take him to the Torture Hall, and give him a proper welcome!''
The demons erupted in laughter, filling the air with taunting and bloodlust.
''No, you peasants!'' Thor screamed as he got dragged away, ''I AM THE MIGHTY THOR…''
