chapter-574
''It's starting soon!'' Isabella's shout echoed in the large mansion. Her belly had grown slightly as a result of the pregnancy. However, it didn't diminish her beauty.
The TV screen showed a countdown to the start of the event. It was less than ten minutes before the start.
''Coming...'' Maxwell walked out of the kitchen while carrying a popcorn bowl. After entering the living room, he placed it in the middle of the table, and sat down next to his pregnant wife.
Shortly afterward, footsteps echoed from upstairs as their children appeared. Marvin, Mark, and Sophia arrived in the living room, and got seated around the table.
''Where is Alice?'' Isabella asked from Sophia.''Playing.'' Sophia said casually. Before coming here, she went to check on Alice, but she was lying on her bed, VR Helmet placed around her head.
''Weird, her brother is competing in such a big tournament, and she would rather play? Doesn't sound like her...'' Isabella frowned.
They were only aware that their son, Isaac, was most likely part of the last event since he didn't log out. However, they weren't aware that even Alice, was competing!
...
The World of Four Seasons started growing louder as the countdown ticked. The streets, and famous beaches, and entertainment places turned silent as everyone retreated to their homes. With their families, lovers, and children, they turned the TV on, and watched as the countdown slowly ticked down.
The excitement grew as the Internet bustled with activity. They were already betting on the winner, even though the contenders weren't clear.
Then, there was the group of worshippers who wanted to see their beloved Gods, and Goddesses. The Church of Zeus, Aphrodite, and Hades were the loudest. However, there were also quiet Churches that wished to see their Gods, but didn't cause a ruckus.Like the Church of Shiva's.
The Legacy Company started preparing for all the cameras. They were prepared to host the event.
Also, at different place of the World, Souldeath Family, and their servants gathered in a theater. They also watched the tournament because there was a family member of theirs who competed.
The world had finished it's preparations to watch the tournament. Now, they only had to wait till the countdown hits zero.
...
Goddess Artemis, Khione, and Hecate left the dimly lit room. They went to their own watching rooms to watch for the tournament's opening.
Only Goddess Selene stayed in the room. They didn't expect anyone else to come. However, if someone did, they had to greet them.
However, as soon as the arena's spectators grew louder, the portal again started whirling, revealing two individuals.
Goddess Selene straightened her back, and smiled beautifully. However, as soon as she saw the two figures, her face froze.
''Apologies for using the portal assigned for Gods, but we would be late otherwise." A handsome blond-haired man apologized with a sorry smile. However, Selene wasn't angry. instead, shocked!
Another incredibly famous individual had arrived!
Next to the blond-haired man, another handsome man stood tall. His untainted brown hair flowed down his nape, glistering with brilliance.
Goddess Selene's smile returned as she bowed, ''King Arthur, Sir Lancelot.''
''You are... Goddess Selene, Goddess of the Moon, right?'' King Arthur smiled as he asked.
''Yes, I am.'' Goddess Selene smiled while replying.
''Wow, this is an honor!'' King Arthur shook her soft hand excitedly. Goddess Selene's body froze after getting touched by man so suddenly. Her cheeks slightly flushed as she tried to keep her smile.
''I always liked to look at the moon during the nightly hours. However, to think that there was always a city hidden. How miraculous, how indeed!''
Lancelot sighed, ''Don't touch the Goddess so rudely. It's blasphemy, don't you know?''
''Oh, apologies!'' King Arthur yanked his hand back and said, ''It wasn't my intention to be rude!''
''Hehe, it's nothing.'' Goddess Selene covered her mouth while giggling. Her eyes curved as her smile brightened up the room.
''May we get instructions. I am not quite sure where the audience stands are.'' King Arthur asked with his majestic tone.
''No need.'' Goddess Selene stood to the side, and showed the hallway filled with doors, ''Choose any of the rooms with open door.''
''I am not sure if this is appropriate. There are Gods, and Goddesses in those closed rooms, correct?''
''Yes, but they won't mind if legendary King Arthur joined them.'' Goddess Selene said with a smile.
King Arthur looked at Lancelot, who nodded.
''Alright then! Thank you very much, Goddess Selene.'' King Arthur bowed in a gentlemanly manner, and left the room with Lancelot. They found one of the open rooms, and entered without thinking twice.
Goddess Selene continued smiling while looking at the portal, 'I don't think so many famous figures have ever been under the same sky. Usually Gods would stay in the God Realm, Moon City, or in their own realms.'
'Now, even famous human figures have arrived, and I have a feeling that many other entered the Moon City through ordinary means, and not via the God Realm...'
However, as soon as she finished her thoughts, the portal whirled, and two people ran out of the portal with exhausted faces.
''A-Are we late?!'' A inhumanly beautiful figure with captivating gold hair stepped out of the portal. Next to him, a heavenly beauty with golden hair that flowed down her smooth back stood silently. She wore an smile in her face that looked innocent.
Goddess Selene smiled instinctively after seeing the two. She had the pleasure of talking with them, and became good friends. They were one of the few she talks without using her veil. Now, she had to show her face to the Gods, and Goddess. Otherwise, it would be rude.
''Mister Adam, and Miss Eve. You are perfectly in time. The opening starts in a several minutes.''
''Nice.'' Adam nodded, and held Eve's hand as they left the room in quick steps.
''Bye Selene!'' Eve waved to her good friend as she got dragged behind Adam.
Goddess Selene smiled as they disappeared into one of the rooms. Then, her gaze saw the calm portal.
'Who will come next?'
