Lu Lijun even removed the hairpin that held half of the hair at the back of her head and let them fall loose. Fixing her hair with his finger, he moved the parts of her hair in front of her shoulder and said, "It's perfect now."

Liwei could only freeze in her place while letting him do it and felt her heart beating faster. The others found it a romantic act and could only smile at it.

Liwei lifted her head up to look at him when he was doing it all, but he looked cold.

'Shouldn't he look calm or smile a bit if he did something like this,' she thought and then clarified to herself, 'He is always like this, so it must be normal for him to have cold expressions all the time, even when he is caring or romantic.'

"Pack everything," Lu Lijun instructed the salesgirl.

"What?" Liwei exclaimed, looking at the long clothing stand in front of her, which held so many dresses that would last her for months without repeating a single one.

Lu Lijun didn't react to her and said, "You must be hungry."

Liwei didn't like it, "Why are you buying me these many clothes?"

"When I do something, I do it like it," he replied and passed his card to the salesgirl.

Liwei could say nothing. Lu Lijun instructed the salesgirl to send those clothes directly to Liwei's home as there were so many bags to carry around.

After this Lu Lijun took her to buy other things like bags and jewelry and Liiwei was stunned how he was spending so much money on her. Not that she minded or she needed it because she was rich.

What surprised her more was they met just a few days back, even though he declared they were dating. Wasn't that too early to do all this for her?

Out of all the things, nothing touched her heart other than the way Lu Lijun held her hand all the time. She forgot everything and enjoyed those moments.

Liwei realized she had fallen for him already. That's why she couldn't correct her father when he asked if they were dating. She went along with the flow that Lu Lijun set as she wanted it, too. She wanted to be with him even though he was cold and difficult to understand.

Having dinner together, Lu Lijun dropped her to her home.

"Won't you come inside?" she asked him.

"Some other day," he replied.

She didn't insist and said bye to him.

When Liwei returned home, her mother was in the living room with lots of bags kept on the center table and on the sofa.

Liwei saw it and knew it was all her stuff.

"What's this?" Her mother asked.

"Lu Lijun took me shopping," she replied.

It surprised her mother, "All this...."

"Yes," Liwei nodded, knowing what her mother would ask.

"Are you two really serious about each other?" Her mother asked.

"I didn't think about it before, but I think now I'm," Liwei replied.

"Just because of all this?" her mother asked, pointing towards all those shopping bags.

Liwei sighed, "I don't need all this stuff. It's not important, but the person who bought it is important."

"Do you like him? Do you even know him well?" her mother asked, still feeling doubtful.

"Why would I not. He is cold and mysterious, but he is a good man who would genuinely care for me. Though I don't understand him now, later I will. No one ever made me feel like this, but he....Cough..." Liwei stopped, getting out of her thoughts about Lu Lijun.

Her mother smiled, "As long as you two are happy."

Lu Lijun returned home late when everyone was in their rooms. Lu Lijun saw Jiang Yuyan's car was not in the parking lot and understood she was not home.

It angered him. He was angry at her but wanted her to be around him all the time.

Lu Lijun went inside the mansion, and this time he straight went to the butler who was finishing his remaining work for the day.

"When would she be back?" Lu Lijun asked.

The butler knew who he was talking about and replied, "President Lu won't be home tonight."

"Where is she?" came one more question from the cold guy.

"That, I'm not sure about," the butler replied.

Lu Lijun stared at the butler coldly for a while, and the butler lowered his head a bit apologetically as if saying he can't say anything further.

Lu Lijun went to his room, sulking and feeling angry. He had enough of controlling his emotions, but now he didn't mind taking it all out.

In Jiang Yuyan's home.

Jiang Yuyan didn't come out since the moment she went to her room. Xiao Min, San Zemin, and the butler were worried.

A while ago, when the butler went to her room and knocked on the door asking if she needed anything, there was no reply, and he had to return just like that.

Dinner time was there, and they got one more chance to call her out. This time Xiao Min went to her room.

He knocked on the door, "Boss, It's time for dinner."

There was no reply, so Xiao Min thought to open the door. To his surprise, it was locked. It was normal for anyone to lock the door, but the situation at that moment made Xiao Min suspicious.

Even after calling for some more time when she didn't respond or opened the door, Xiao Min came downstairs and asked the butler for another key to Jiang Yuyan's room.

Just then, someone entered the living room, "Why are you all so tense?"

The three looked at him.

"How come you are here, Mr. An Tian?" San Zemin asked.

"I'm here to check on my patient," An Tian replied and sat on the sofa. He was, as usual, calm and cool.

Xiao Min looked at San Zemin, "When the boss told me she wouldn't go to Lu Mansion, I called him. It's her time of routine check-up that she doesn't want to."

"Is my patient creating trouble again?" An Tian asked casually.

"She has been locked in her room since the evening and not answering us," Xiao Min replied.

Just then, the butler returned with the keys.

"Give it to me," said An Tian, and he went upstairs with it.

An Tian already didn't get a good feeling about it and opened the door, ready to see the unwanted sight.
