Young Brother-in-law Is Now My Husband
-
chapter-1149
When Lu Lijun went to Jiang Yuyan to give her water, she accepted it quietly and continued what she was doing.
Accompanying her silently to look at the view ahead, Lu Lijun spoke, "I remember in the past when I came here with the family, elder brother and I used to stand here too.
Jiang Yuyan nodded. "In the past, when we all came here after we went to spend the weekend at the farmhouse, he brought me here too, and we did the same. I still try to search what he used to look at but never got the answer."
"One day we might get the answer," said Lu Lijun, and as Jiang Yuyan talked about the past when they came here, Lu Lijun added, "That was the last time I got to play soccer with him," and once again the silence surrounded them.
"Same day and exactly the same time, everything changed and stopped," Jiang Yuyan mumbled as she referred to the accident."Everything changed, but we can still keep moving," Lu Lijun spoke.
"My time and everything stopped with your brother's last breath," she said.
"And I wish to start what has stopped," Lu Lijun commented.
Jiang Yuyan finally looked at him. "You should stop here, Lu Lijun. I'll think nothing has happened, and we can be like before."
He looked at her calmly. "You know what, I always want to say yes to whatever you wish for. I wish to give you everything you ask for, but every time you wish or ask for something that I can never say yes to."
Jiang Yuyan sighed and looked ahead. She didn't wish to argue with him.
The family spent the time there as the lunch was arranged for them in the temple. When everyone was busy talking to each other as they roamed around the peaceful atmosphere in the temple premise surrounded by the beautiful scenery of mountains and greenery, Mo Ruolan went to the Master in the temple.
She bowed to him, and, as usual, she had her query about her daughter. The monk and Mo Ruolan both recognized each other even though they met after many years.
"So many years passed by, but her situation is still the same. Is this her fate to be like this always? Why can't she have a destiny that could fill her life with happiness."
"Her destiny is with her, but it's in her hand if she wants to accept it and fill her life with happiness or accept the sad fate as it is."
"What can I do to help her? Is there any way?" she asked.
"Once destiny is in their hands, and can't be changed. But whether to turn that destiny into happy or sad ones is in their hands. You worry for nothing," the Monk replied.
"I have been thinking about what the master said about her in the past," said Mo Ruolan.
The monk nodded, giving her permission to say further.
"Master had said she would get married twice that means there is a chance she will accept to marry someone," said Mo Ruolan.
The Monk was calm to know what she meant.
"Her father and I had selected one man for her. Is there a chance she would say yes to it anytime soon? And if she says yes to a second marriage, will she be happy like before?"
"Second marriage?" the monk said as if he concluded something. "Isn't she married twice already?"
It startled Mo Ruolan. "Already?" She questioned herself and the master. "That.. that marriage with Lu Lijun in a temple?"
Master didn't react, and Mo Ruolan spoke. "No one accepts it as a wedding. He was a kid, and it's not even a legal wedding. Yuyan considers him like a younger brother...."
"It depends on everyone's perception," said the monk.
"So that was the second marriage, and now there is nothing in her life?" Mo Ruolan asked as she mumbled, "And here I thought she would marry again as per written in her fate and live a happy life. What should I do now?" She looked helpless.
"You should do what's in your hand," said the Monk to ease the pain of one mother.
Mo Ruolan nodded and left after bowing to the monk. All she could do was to try on her side whatever she could.
Elder Ming and Elder Lu Finally got the chance to talk calmly with each other as the two sat on the bench under one tree.
"How much more time does your grandson need now?" Elder Lu asked.
"Be patient, old man," Elder Ming said.
"Why is this younger generation too slow? Sometimes I feel worried that both of us would be departed from this world before seeing our grandkids."
Elder Lu sighed. "Hmm! What can we do now?"
"Nothing much. I can at least marry my granddaughter to someone who won't be slow like a snail," Elder Lu commented.
"He seems troubled with something, and I don't wish to push him," Elder Ming finally said.
"Anything serious?" Elder Lu asked worriedly.
"Whatever it is, I am sure he will solve it soon," Elder Ming assured.
When Lu Lian was finally alone for a while, Ming Rusheng went to her who was standing by the wall of temple boundary, looking at the tree that was the oldest one but still stood strong.
"What are you doing here alone?" Ming Rushen asked.
She looked at him. "Nothing much."
Ming Rusheng went to her as he too looked at the tree she was observing. "Getting ideas for the new design?"
Lu Lian smiled. "Occupational hazard."
"Happens!" Ming Rusheng smiled back.
There was silence for a while and finally, Ming Rusheng gathered the courage to say something.
"I have something to tell you."
"I hope you have thought it well," Lu Lian commented.
"Hmm!" Ming Rusheng nodded, "Dinner tomorrow?"
Lu Lian nodded too, "Fine!"
She agreed finally and Ming Rusheng's heart turned heavy. Tomorrow either they would be together forever or will fall apart.
