Lu Lijun didn't go home as he worked in the office even on Sunday. Noah's night went worried, thinking where Jake was, and he couldn't sleep at all.

The next day in the Lu Mansion, Elder Lu talked, "I told everyone to be home then why Lu Lijun was not home yesterday?"

Everyone knew elder Lu was upset, and no one ever went against his words, but Lu Lijun did as he spent the previous day in office and didn't even return at night.

Jiang Yuyan stayed silent; she somewhere knew she was the reason he didn't return home.

"Father, he seems to have lots of work to do," Lu Jinhai replied.

"I can't understand these young people. What's there to work so much by forgetting your family who waits for you? Let him return home. I will give him an earful of scolding.

No one said a word as what elder Lu said was right. It was true that he had work to do, but there was no need to overdo it.

Jiang Yuyan went to the office where Xiao Min was there as usual with his boss's entire day schedule.

"Good morning, boss," Xiao Min greeted.

Jiang Yuyan gave him a slight nod as she sat in her chair and asked, "Is Lu Lijun in his office?"

"Fourth Young master returned to the office just a while ago," he replied.

"Returned?" Jiang Yuyan asked, "From where?"

"From here," Xiao Min replied and explained. "He slept in the lounge and went to his office after getting ready."

"Hmm!" Jiang Yuyan realized she was the one to ask him to use the lounge.

"Does he have everything needed for him? If not, arrange it," Jiang Yuyan instructed.

"Seems like the boss didn't go through the wardrobe in the lounge," Xiao Min commented.

Jiang Yuyan gave him a questioning look, and he replied, "I did nothing. Boss should check it by herself."

Xiao Min knew Jiang Yuyan didn't like anyone to touch the things inside the lounge and wardrobe and kept them always the same. Not a single thing was allowed to move from its place, especially everything that belonged to Lu Qiang.

"You can leave," she said, "Make sure he eats."

Xiao Min nodded and left.

Jiang Yuyan went to the lounge. Everything inside was as it is, and she went to check the wardrobe. She opened the door only to see more things being added to the wardrobe.

Few new suits hung inside the wardrobe along with Lu Qiang's clothes, the new bottles of perfumes and other needed things were kept on the shelf where Jiang Yuyan kept her cosmetics. She opened the drawers and saw new wristwatches, ties, sets of undergarments, and suit accessories added to existing ones.

Nothing was displaced from their previous places, but the new things were added to the existing ones. Her side of the wardrobe had only her clothes while the other side looked more full with the clothes of two people, Lu Qiang and Lu Lijun. As nothing was misplaced, she didn't mind it and closed the door.

Lu Lijun's things from his childhood days were already present in the lounge that he brought here whenever he came with Lu Qiang in the past. Not only Lu Qiang's things, but she had kept Lu Lijun's things as it is, too, so adding his more things didn't make a difference to her. After all, this everything belonged to him.

Noah came to the office as he went to Lu Lijun.

"You look tense," Lu Lijun asked.

"And you look tired," Noah commented.

"Seems like your guy didn't return."

"Seems like you didn't go to your woman."

"Yeah, I didn't. I told you I would be in the office this week," Lu Lijun replied.

Noah remembered his saying it and asked, "Did Jake call you?"

"No!"

"Where did he go? His cell phone is still off."

"Be happy that he won't be troubling you anymore."

"I am not here to get mocking remarks from you. I am worried for him. He never disappeared like this. I asked brother Tian, and he said Jake didn't go home either."

"Then give him some time," Lu Lijun suggested.

Noah nodded, but the worry he felt didn't go away.

The entire day Lu Lijun didn't go to Jiang Yuyan and came across her only during one meeting where he, as usual, treated her as a respectful president.

After office hours, Jiang Yuyan went to Lu Lijun's office. She didn't dare call him to her office because of what he did last time when she arranged breakfast for him. But whatever he did, she could never stop worrying about him.

Noah stood up to greet her when she entered the office, and Lu Lijun looked at her. Noah was about to leave, but Jiang Yuyan stopped him. "No need to leave. I am not here to disturb both of your works."

Nodding, Noah stayed back, feeling awkward as if he was the third wheel between husband and wife.

Jiang Yuyan looked at Lu Lijun and said, "No need to work this much. You will get sick. Grandpa was asking for you. Come home tonight."

Lu Lijun looked at Noah, "Can you get me the file of that list we made for probable partners from the east region. I need to email some important details."

Noah nodded and left.

Once he left, Lu Lijun looked at Jiang Yuyan, "Is it like my wife is worried for me and asking me to return?"

She sighed and explained calmly, "I told you grandpa asked you to. He is upset because you didn't stay home yesterday even after he told everyone to be home."

Lu Lijun leaned back in his chair as he stared at her for a while. "If I had stayed at home, you would have been the one to be upset with me."

Jiang Yuyan didn't mind his words, "Go home; I won't be there as you are worried about troubling me."

"No need. I will talk to grandpa. He will be fine," Lu Lijun didn't want her to leave. "I will be home in a few days."

"Fine!" She didn't insist the stubborn guy and turned to leave.

"Yuyan!" Lu Lijun called, and Jiang Yuyan felt like her heart had stopped beating.

He hardly called her by her name, and in the office, he never did so. But if he did, then there must be something….She didn't know what it was, but she felt uneasy.

She stopped but didn't turn to look at him, feeling anxious about what he would say.

"This Friday evening, you have to go somewhere with me.

Feeling relieved that it was nothing, she turned to look at him. "Where?"

"You will know," he said and resumed his work.

"I might be busy."

"I would like it if you come with me nicely," came the warning from the cold guy who didn't look at her and continued to work.

Jiang Yuyan didn't think much and left. He took her to the sugar candy shop the last time, so there was nothing to worry about if he took her somewhere. He acted blatantly only when they were at home, but he was a gentle and caring man when they were outside.
