Young Master Gu, Please Be Gentle
-
chapter-472
That was a good plan! With her current status, it would be almost impossible for her to try to get near Gu Mohan, let alone interact with him. She needed this opportunity that Lu Jinwen offered.
But that would mean that she needed to return to the Lu family.
She had strange feelings about returning to the Lu family, she would only consider a place as her home only if her mother was with her. But... where was her mother?
The Lu family wasn’t her true home.
Lin Xuanyin was Mrs Lu.Then what about Mr Gu...?
She couldn’t give up on Mr Gu.
“Okay, I promise to stay in the Capital, but I’ll have to return to Karghalik first.” Tang Mo’er made her decision.
“I’ll accompany you then.”
Tang Mo’er shook her head. “There’s no need for you to do that, I’ll be fine on my own.”
She left after speaking.
Lu Jinwen signaled Butler Ye and Butler Ye reciprocated with a nod. “Elder Miss, this way please.”Butler Ye brought Tang Mo’er away and with Butler Ye in-charge of everything, Lu Jinwen could rest assured and his gaze was still fixed on Tang Mo’er even as she left.
A melodious ringtone sounded, he had an incoming call.
He took out his cell phone and answered the call, “Hello, Ah Yan.”
Lu Yan’s deep voice could be heard on the other hand. “Uncle Jin, you should hurry and come back. Madam Xuanyin had woken up.”
Lin Xuanyin had finally awoken.
...
Karghalik.
Tang Mo’er returned to her apartment. Once she opened the door and entered the apartment, she stood on the plush wool carpet and scanned every corner of her apartment.
It was filled with sweet memories of her and Mr Gu, she could still hear their laughter as she recalled the lovey-dovey scenes in her mind.
She entered the kitchen and trailed her fingertips over the kitchen counter. The noodles he used to cook for her, the stir-fried pork with bamboo shoots... she recalled everything.
She could still feel his body scent in the air, his warmth still seemed to surround the entire place, as though he had seeped into every crevice to proclaim his presence forever. Tang Mo’er stood in the kitchen alone as she opened her arms, embracing the air.
She closed her eyes, imagining that she was hugging his trim waist, burrowing her face into his back. She murmured softly, “Mr Gu...”
After returning to her room, she entered her ensuite bathroom and noticed the matching mugs on the bathroom counter. One was pink and the other was black, she had hand painted two animated figures on the mugs. It was of her and Mr Gu.
She drifted into her memories—-
She had pasted the stickers of the animated figures on the mugs and continued to brush her teeth. Mr Gu had just gotten home and he encircled her from behind, his arms pulling her close. “What is this?”
He pointed at the animated figures and asked.
The animated figure was modeled after her, with its long hair, feminine body and dainty facial features. She smiled. “It’s me.”
“Then is this me?” He pointed at the sticker on the black colored tooth mug, the disgust evident on his face. “Is this a pig?”
She retorted with a pout, “How is this a pig?! Have you ever seen such a hunky pig?”
“You painted yourself to be so ravishing and yet my animated figure is just like a pig. What are you insinuating? I’m a pig that ruined the ravishing beauty?”
“...”
He grasped her tiny waist and turned her around, forcing her on the bathroom counter and tickling her. “Let me test you out then.”
She dodged his tickling fingers while chuckling and her face was all red after his teasing.
The faint yellow lights shone on Tang Mo’er’s lithe body, as she recalled all the gratifying memories she had with Mr Gu. Now, the loneliness seemed to stain her insides.
Tears trickled down her face, she could only cover her mouth and sob silently.
She needed to leave.
Needed to leave this apartment.
This was the home she had owned together with Mr Gu.
But now, she was going to leave everything and head to the Capital.
Tang Mo’er closed her fluttering eyelashes and suddenly stopped crying. She lifted her head in an attempt to stop her tears from falling.
She should have been delighted, she was going to look for Mr Gu in the Capital. She believed that she would be able to find him and make him hers again.
Her red lips quirked, revealing a faint smile before her tears streamed down again.
At that moment, she truly behaved like a fool, crying and laughing at the same time.
Goodbye, Karghalik.
...
Tang Mo’er boarded a private jet and landed in the Capital. Butler Ye picked her up and brought her to the Lu family’s place that evening.
The Lu’s owned many properties and Tang Mo’er had been brought to one of their many bungalows.
The helper pushed the door open and she entered the bungalow.
In the living room, Tang Mo’er spotted Lu Jinwen but there was a woman seated beside him. It was Lin Xuanyin.
Lin Xuanyin had woken up.
It was Tang Mo’er’s first time meeting Lin Xuanyin. She found herself stunned after seeing Lin Xuanyin’s face. Lin Xuanyin bore an uncanny resemblance to herself, the only difference was that Tang Mo’er’s face was supple and youthful. On the other hand, Lin Xuanyin’s face had become aged with wrinkles after being unconscious for many years.
Nonetheless, Lin Xuanyin was dressed in a long white dress and she was still alluring.
“Is this my younger sister’s daughter?” Lin Xuanyin walked up front and held Tang Mo’er’s hand. She spoke with a tender voice, “Come over and let me have a good look of you. You look really similar to my younger sister, equally gorgeous.”
Tang Mo’er retracted her hand, giving Lin Xuanyin a cold glance. She couldn’t pinpoint why, but she wasn’t fond of this woman.
Even though this woman was her mother’s twin sister.
Even after having to bear with Tang Mo’er’s indifference, Lin Xuanyin didn’t seem to be concerned in the least and she continued with a gentle persistence. She turned her head around and spoke to Lu Jinwen, “Jinwen, Mo’er has been stranded outside for so many years, now that she has returned to the Lu family, we shall compensate her well. Isn’t her 21st birthday arriving in no time? Let’s have a grand birthday party and invite over all of the established families in the Capital. We can use that opportunity to introduce Mo’er into the circle of socialites in the Capital. It will be like a coming of age ceremony.”
Lu Jinwen gandered at Lin Xuanyin’s beautiful face, his gaze filled with affection. He nodded in approval. “Okay.”
“But,” Lin Xuanyin pretended to be placed in a difficult position, “In order to not let tongues wag about Mo’er’s parentage, Mo’er should address me as Mommy from now onwards...”
Tang Mo’er sneered inwardly. After going around in circles, this woman had finally gotten to her main point. Saying a whole load of crap previously was merely to prepare for this.
Her biological mother was Lin Xuanji and yet Lin Xuanyin wanted her to address her as Mommy?
Though it was justifiable for Lin Xuanyin to raise such a request, the real Mrs Lu was Lin Xuanyin. Lin Xuanji was merely a confined mistress of Lu Jinwen’s. Moreover, the two sisters were involved with the same man, with the younger sister giving birth to her brother-in-law’s child. Tongues would definitely wag about her parentage.
Established families paid great attention to blood lineage and Lin Xuanyin totally sounded like she was being considerate towards Tang Mo’er.
But things seemed too good to be true. How could it be that Lin Xuanyin was still magnanimous about the entire issue? Her biological younger sister was sleeping with her husband, how could she not bear any grudges and treat Tang Mo’er, an illegitimate child so well? Lin Xuanyin was either as benevolent as Mother Teresa, if not, she was mentally ill.
Lin Xuanyin continued pestering Lu Jinwen. “Jinwen, you wouldn’t object to my plans right? Didn’t you only get my younger sister to give birth to a child because I couldn’t conceive? You promised me before, I would be the one to raise the child once it was born and the child would call me Mommy. It’s just that so many things happened after that...”
What?
Lin Xuanji wasn’t able to conceive and so Lu Jinwen had gotten Lin Xuanji to give birth to a child on Lin Xuanyin’s behalf?
