Gu Mohan stopped in his tracks. There was a glint in his deep and narrow eyes.

There was a line of bodyguards in front of Tang Mo’er’s room door. These bodyguards were orderly and the ‘Z Country’ emblem was embroidered on their sleeves. They were the plain-clothed Special Tactical Unit troopers.

“President Gu, I’ve heard of your great name. Good day to you.” A low and gentle voice was heard.

Gu Mohan glanced sideways. Jun Mosheng walked over with steady footsteps, followed by Jun Chulin.

Jun Mosheng.

So he had managed to come.

Gu Mohan’s handsome face did not have a change in expression as he replied indifferently, “President Jun, what are you doing sending so many men to guard my wife’s room door? Aren’t you afraid of scaring my wife?”

My wife.

He emphasized on these two words to declare ownership.

Jun Mosheng arched his eyebrows. “President Gu, your wife, Tang Mo’er, is the only flesh and blood left behind by my Xuanji. You should know that I’ve been looking for her, but you actually sent someone to mislead me into thinking that my Mo’er was dead. President Gu, things are unpredictable. Thirty years ago, who would have thought that Gu Tianling could have a son like you?”

“President Jun, I don’t have time to chat with you. Would you please ask your men to stand aside? I want to go in to accompany my wife.”

Gu Mohan strode ahead and every step he took was menacing. He placed his large palm on the doorknob and was about to open the door.

Just then, a gentle hand held his wrist. “President Gu, are you panicking?”

Gu Mohan glanced sideways at Jun Chulin. The two men stared at each other intensely, sizing each other up.

“President Gu, did you call me because you thought Mo’er was drugged?”

Gu Mohan squinted his deep and narrow eyes. “Isn’t that the case?”

Jun Chulin shook his head. “Mo’er did not let me come.”

Gu Mohan’s dark eyes narrowed. She actually did not call Jun Chulin to come!

“Let go, I want to go in to see my wife!” His low voice was frosty.

“President Gu, I am bringing Mo’er back to Z Country.” Jun Mosheng spoke in a manner that sought no affirmation.

Gu Mohan let go of the doorknob and turned back to look at Jun Mosheng. He curved his cold lips menacingly. “Jun Mosheng, this is not Z Country. You think you can leave with my wife?”

What a conceited tone.

Jun Mosheng looked at Gu Mohan for a while. In the past, the Gu Family was still inconspicuous, and no one would have imagined that such a character would emerge out of the Gu Family after all these years.

“Looks like President Gu wants to detain me. Let’s not talk about whether President Gu can detain me. Even if you can detain me, can you keep Mo’er?”

Can you keep Mo’er?

This question caused Gu Mohan’s handsome eyes to twitch a little.

Just when the tension in the room was highly-strung, the room door suddenly opened.

“What is the commotion about?”

Tang Mo’er appeared in front of everyone dressed in her sleepwear. She had just opened her eyes and her delicate features exuded a tinge of sleepiness. She had just been intimate with a man, and her white skin was faintly pink. She resembled a rose petal, and she was so beautiful that one was unable to avert his gaze.

She appeared out of the blue, and the two men who were fighting over her froze immediately.

Jun Mosheng looked at Tang Mo’er and emotions surged within him. She was the spitting image of Xuanji.

“Mo’er.” Jun Mosheng quickly walked ahead. He looked at Tang Mo’er with fatherly love. “I’m your Uncle Jun. It has been so many years and you are all grown-up now.”

Tang Mo’er’s pristine eyes stared at Jun Mosheng confusedly and warily. Who was this man?

“Mo’er, look at what is this?” Jun Mosheng took out a string of red rope with bells on it.

The string of red rope with bells on it was exactly the same as the one that Lu Jinwen had given her. The crisp sound of the bells tinkling ensued.

Tang Mo’er reached for the red rope.

“Mo’er, that year, your Mom knitted two red ropes with bells. She gave one to me and the other to you. Your Mom intended to send you to me to raise you.”

Tang Mo’er’s delicate finger caressed the red rope with bells and her heart wavered. She looked at Jun Mosheng. “Uncle Jun.”

“Mo’er is a good girl.” Jun Mosheng stretched his hand out to stroke Tang Mo’er’s hair.

But before he could touch her, bam! Gu Mohan slapped Jun Mosheng’s hand away. There was a scornful expression on his handsome face. “You are touching my woman in front of me. Do you think that I’m dead?”

Jun Mosheng, “…”

Gu Mohan held the woman’s delicate hand and squeezed it vigorously. “Don’t call any man uncle” he berated in displeasure.

Everyone at the venue, “…”

President Gu was extremely jealous.

Tang Mo’er’s bright eyes stared at the man impassively and she retracted her hand forcefully. “President Gu, don’t assume that everyone is as perverted as you.”

Gu Mohan’s face darkened slightly with this insult from the woman.

At this moment, there was a flurry of footsteps. Two bodyguards in black had brought Huo Yanmei over.

Huo Yanmei was stunned when she saw Jun Mosheng. When Lu Jinwen and Jun Mosheng were neck and neck that year, one was deep and ruthless while the other was gentle on the surface but malevolent within. Huo Yanmei was fearful of these two men.

“Madam Gu, we haven’t met for years.” Jun Mosheng looked at Huo Yanmei.

“President Jun, why are you here?”

Jun Mosheng smiled. “Madam Gu should be the most aware about why I am here.”

With that, Jun Mosheng’s gaze turned frosty suddenly. The two bodyguards kicked Huo Yanmei’s knee.

Huo Yanmei knelt down.

It was a disgrace to be kneeling. Huo Yanmei blanched and her body trembled. “President Jun, what do you want?”

“Huo Yanmei, you owed Xuanji this kneel. Xuanji treated you as her best friend and entrusted her own daughter to you, but what did you do? You were vicious and despicable. You actually stabbed Xuanji in the back. This kneel is for Lin Xuanji!”

With that, the two bodyguards pressed down on Huo Yanmei’s head and forced her to bow her head respectfully against the floor.

“Huo Yanmei, this second kneel is what you owe Mo’er. From the beginning, Mo’er’s life was fraught with hardship. When she was born, it was akin to not having any parents. Xuanji used her life to send Mo’er to me, but you brought Mo’er to an unscrupulous and immoral family instead and destroyed her life. This second kneel is for Mo’er!”

With that, the two bodyguards pressed down on Huo Yanmei’s head again and forced her to bow her head respectfully against the floor.

Huo Yanmei’s forehead was already bruised from the bowing. This was simply an utter humiliation for her. She struggled vehemently. “Let go of me, let go! Mohan, quick, save Mom! Are you going to watch Jun Mosheng humiliate Mom like this?”

Huo Yanmei shot a pleading glance at Gu Mohan.

Gu Mohan looked at Huo Yanmei and retracted his gaze impassively.

He did not rescue her.

Her son had severe his relationship with her because of that woman.
