Ferocious Boss: Hubby, Let’s Get Married
-
chapter-485
Yue Pengcheng pointed at those men. He furiously exclaimed, “Just you guys wait, I will never let you guys off so easily. Who exactly is your boss?”
“Wanna know who our boss is? That’s fine, just follow us back then. Whatever grievances you have to say, just go on ahead and let our boss know.” The man replied.
Although Ding Fu was fuming with absolute anger, she had a calm mind. If she had followed them back to the station, even if it was not for the accusations these men claimed to be, it would have completely tarnished her reputation if anyone knew what happened.
Ding Fu frantically explained, “Just hold on a second alright. Although we do not have the official marriage certificate, we still can prove that we were not… involved in those kinds of trade.”
Ding Fu hastily took out her phone to look for their pictures taken together.“Officer, just look, this happened to be our picture taken together. Notice the date of this picture, it was taken before we got her. We had been living overseas for 20 plus years and had just returned 2 days ago. These two were our kids, look at how old are kids are already, so tell me officer, does this look like the kind of relationship you meant?” Ding Fu explained.
Ding Fu was a smart woman, it did not mattered how, but the pictures in her phone had proven that she was not a prostitute and Yue pengcheng was not her client.
The officers looked at each other for a brief moment and proceeded to hand Ding Fu her phone back.
“Since that’s the case, it seems that we had a minor misjudgement. However, you guys should not blame us. We were just doing our job. Our orders were to enforce the anti-prostitution policy given directly from our superior officers. We were just following orders. Not to mention, in a motel like this, things like that happens way too often here.” The officer explained.
Ding Fu frantically replied, “Alright, alright we understand.”
Yue Pengcheng furiously watched the officers leave.
“Unbelievable.” Yue Pengcheng furiously exclaimed.Ding Fu sighed and shook her head. She said, “A place like this…”
She only needed to say those 4 words. She never continued her sentence. Yue Pengcheng’s heart clenched in agony as he could very clearly see the exhaustion and desperation through her expressions.
“I’m so sorry Xiao Fu. I initially intended that after returning to this country, I wanted only to return everything I owed to your suffering you so painfully endured for 30 years. I never expected…our return would be like this. It’s my fault for this oversight. Just hold on a little longer, I swear I will fix this.” Yue Pengcheng explained.
Ding Fu shook her head and said, “It’s okay, we’re fine. You don’t have to blame yourself for this. The thing is, why would anyone report us when we were just perfectly fine minding our own business?”
Ding Fu’s comment may seem irrational, however, it had apparently reminded Yue Pengcheng of something. He grunted and exclaimed, “Hmph, I know it’s Su Ningmei’s doing. She could never stand the fact that we were doing fine on our own. The only thing she knows is to crush others with what little power she has. She wouldn’t let us stay in any star-rated hotels and now wouldn’t let us sleep in peace. I will never let her have her way with us.”
“Although I don’t believe she’s that kind of a person, if whatever you said was true then I’m afraid that we won’t be sleeping in peace tonight.” Ding Fu replied as she gently rubbed on her forehead while she sighed.
“Head’s hurting again?” Yue Pengcheng asked worryingly.
“I’m fine, it’s nothing. Old ailment. Just let me take a nap for a short while and I’ll be alright.” Ding Fu explained.
Yue Pengcheng heart clenched tighter as he felt awful seeing Ding Fu like this. He hugged her tightly and said, “Let’s not live here anymore. Come on, we’ll get a new hotel. You will not be able to rest in this place anyway.”
Ding Fu chuckled and said, “It’s alright. You’ll have to stop villainizing people so much. Perhaps this was all an accident. I feel like she’s not a person like that.”
Yue Pengcheng grew increasingly furious after Ding Fu’s statement. He exclaimed, “Since when there’s so much coincidental accidents. The cops that barged in earlier clearly said that room 1206 had been reported by someone, so tell me, if this was not intentionally done then what is?
Yue Pengcheng furiously added, “Xiao Fu, you’re too kind. A vindictive, evil woman like Su Ningmei is capable of doing absolutely anything. Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten that it was her doing that costs us our ability to have children of our own.”
