The room door closed and Ji Mianmian was left stunned behind it.

Ye Shaoguang turned to leave, and the instant he went out of the elevator, he began making calls.

None of those calls got through, but he kept on calling anyway.

Ye Shaoguang promised Ji Mianmian that he would do it. The muddy waters were coming in, so he might as well stir it up even more.

He treated that as… making up for all the things the Ye family did to Yan Qingsi’s mother in the past.

Ye Shaoguang snickered. He never fancied himself as someone who understood kindness and had it in his heart, but surprisingly… he has been doing a series of good things lately.

He was beginning to realize that he was no longer himself anymore.

Ten calls were made, but no one picked up any of them. He grinned coldly and once again returned to the KTV, looking for the manager.

Ye Shaoguang spoke with the manager alone for a solid ten minutes inside the manager’s office. No one knew what their conversation was about.

All they knew was that they smelled ammonia when Ye Shaoguang went out— the manager was scared to the point of wetting his pants.

Ye Shaoguang came out with a stone-cold face. He left the KTV and sped away to a villa residence in the suburbs.

His mien remained frigid, highlighting his pale complexion. Darkness enhanced his frightening qualities even more.

Ye Shaoguang slammed his foot on the gas pedal, sending the car flying at god-speed. Running the red lights, exceeding the speed limit, and overtaking other cars. Countless pictures were taken of him. He surmised that a notice to suspend his license would come the next day.

At that point, however, Ye Shaoguang could care less. He was worried that the slightest delay would make everything too late.

If he could not rescue Yan Qingsi safely and unscathed, there was no way he could go back and settle his debt with Ji Mianmian.

The villas on the eastside suburbs were developed by a large-scale real estate developer and were regarded as Hai City’s best houses.

Ye Shaoguang drove to the residence entrance and was stopped by security.

Keeping quiet, he fished out a unit number and keys before saying, “I’m the proprietor here.”

The keys and unit numbers were specially made, so it was easy to recognize with one look. The security thought that it was a new owner and did not dare to slight him. The security guard then said, “Please… Please…”

Ye Shaoguang sped right in. He reached a detached villa and saw a Maserati parked at the door. Steely-faced, he jumped off the car and placed a hand on the bonnet— it was still warm, a sign that the car was just parked there very recently.

Ye Shaoguang walked to the door and pressed the doorbell.

No one answered, so Ye Shaoguang pressed it repeatedly.

His finger never left the doorbell, but no one opened the door. He picked up a pebble and threw it hard against the second-floor window, shattering it. The glass pieces crashed down audibly.

Ye Shaoguang picked up a few more pebbles, throwing them one after another and shattering as many windows as he could.

Calm though his character was, he could no longer keep his composure in that situation.

The villa door finally opened.

Ye Shaoguang looked at the man inside. His shirt had been unbuttoned and his chest was exposed. His lust-filled eyes were languid and indistinct but looked exceptionally attractive.

Ye Shaoguang frowned. “I have something to talk to you about.”

You Xi stood at the door and prevented Ye Shaoguang from going in. “It’s late. Why are you here?”

Ye Shaoguang’s expression dimmed down and he said, “Move…”

You Xi smirked scornfully. “Ye Shaoguang, I think you’ve made a mistake. Surely, you must look at the time and place before running amok? This… is my turf. Do you see it clearly now?”
