It took Max a full two days to understand just how much he had gained from killing Angakok.

' What a terrifying move…. ' Max thought as he realised why soul-devour was considered a forbidden move that wasn't even available in the Universal Warehouse.

A tier 0 individual could hypothetically become a monarch within a decade if he used soul-devour every step of the way.

Undoubtedly, it wasn't possible to use it without divine essence and there were a lot of complications with its usage, but it's results were undeniable as by absorbing Angakok's soul Max had achieved in a day what Vega had most likely strived for in the past 500 years.

However, the most ridiculous part was that the gap was only going to get even wider as he finally got the stat promotion bonus upon reaching tier7, a gap that would give him the confidence to even go toe to toe with an average monarch in terms of strength!

' I'm so glad I walked the path of the perfect warrior, the difference between me and the average Joe only keeps increasing the further I progress ' Max thought as he silently praised his principal for introducing him to this path as a tier0 seedling.

In a way, he was destined to walk this path, as from the very start Hazriel had told him to seek Asiva, a woman who was bound for the university and a woman who had shaped his fate.

' I might be tier7 soon….. Am I finally getting good enough for her? ' Max wondered as although he had two bombastic wives, he had not forgotten his first crush as he still desired to win over her heart someday.

Currently the Bloodfall clan wasn't on the best terms with the angels, however, everything could be changed once he reached the pinnacle of power.

Before absorbing Angakok's memories, Max only had a vague idea about the tier7 promotion test, however, after absorbing them he had a perfect understanding of what he was supposed to do-

Tier7 was the bridge tier between the two massive chasms of tier6 and tier8 and the promotion test was also comparatively simpler for someone who had already undergone the traditional promotion for tier6.

Just like one was supposed to master space, time and gravity for tier6, one needed to master darkness, chaos and void to be promoted to tier7.

In theory, mastering all three of these elements was next to impossible.

According to both the journal of the primal god of war and Angakok's own memories, there had not been a warrior in the universe since the dawn of time who had been able to master all 3 elements to perfection to get a SSS rating in the tier7 promotion test.

Mostly, everyone reaching this realm only focused on passing the test and getting promoted.

It did not matter to them as to what grade they received as no matter what grade they got as long as they were able to advance, their prestige and influence in the universe would become tenfold.

To pass, mastering any one of the three elements was considered to be enough if one had at least a basic understanding of the other two.

If the basic elements like fire and water were mysterious, then the superior elements like gravity and space were akin to an unsolvable paradox.

However, if the superior elements were an unsolvable paradox then the ultimate elements were something that were impossible to even start comprehending.

Learning them felt like learning a foreign language while having no frame of reference and it was this astronomical difficulty of the tier7 promotion test that led to there being only a few tier7 gods in the entire universe.

Max however held an advantage!

Angakok's memories and experiences had given him a frame of reference to understand the complexities of the Ultimate elements as well as a comprehensive understanding of the 'Void' element.

Whether or not Max could attain a 'Master' level understanding in all three was still a very difficult task, however, he had a greater chance to achieve the feat than anyone taking the test in the past 5,000 years.

( Meanwhile Regus Aurelius )

" Please tell me Vega that you have found it…. " Regus said with a grim expression on his face as the result of the expedition that Vega was on mattered greatly to the ongoing war against Dracula.

" I have indeed found the Surya- Astra ( Weapon Of The Sun God ) " Vega said in affirmation as Regus breathed a sigh of relief.

The Surya-Astra was a weapon left behind by the sun god Helios that was a tier9 artefact capable of unleashing the full might of a mid-sized sun.

The expedition to the ruins of the sun-gods temple was a dangerous one and Vega Titus had to lead the charge himself as a lot was riding on the mission.

The only known weakness of Dracula and primordial vampires in general was sunlight, as their skin sizzled and their powers weakened when coming in contact with it.

The sun god's weapon was the only thing that Regus believed that could give him the edge to kill Dracula and now that Vega had retrieved it for him, he felt at ease as if a huge burden had been lifted off his shoulders.

Patting Vega on the shoulder, Regus said nothing but his gesture showed how much he valued Vega's contribution this time around.

As of late, the commoners had begun losing faith in him as a king as his grip over the society had been deteriorating.

The only road to redemption was by killing Dracula and he had been working tirelessly to achieve it.

" Call a meeting of all the vampire lords, tell them we are going to move on the counteroffensive and the time to push back has finally come!

Set a meeting date for a month from now once I master this new weapon.

With this... I can finally avenge the fall of Ixtal- " Regus said emotionally as Vega almost felt pity for the king.

Just a decade ago, he and Regus would not look eye to eye on anything as he absolutely detested the proud king.

However, Dracula's return had humbled Regus and Vega had witnessed first hand as to how far the mighty had fallen.

If the Surya-Astra finally gave him some of his confidence back, then Vega felt like he had did his best to serve the crown.
