Chapter 192: The Waking Of A Majestic Lion
Yu Shijin came to a sudden halt when he got disconnected. His eyes were two black, cold abysses.
This version of Yu Shijin was sharp and dangerous to the extreme.
Anxiety jolted the heart of the commander beside him. “Master Yu?”
Yu Shijin glanced sideways at him and gave a smile. That smile had not the slightest bit of warmth in it. “Go to checkpoint 42.”“Checkpoint 42?” The commander didn’t understand.
But Yu Shijin had already strapped on his helmet and was striding up the mountain.
The commander gazed after Yu Shijin’s back profile, not daring to question him further.
The team quickly arrived at the 42nd checkpoint. Several people were strewn haphazardly on the ground.
The commander’s expression changed.
“Master Yu, we are short of two people.” He counted the number of students and realized that two of them are missing. His heart skipped a beat.
Yu Shijin surveyed the area and knew Su Huiqing was missing. But he had no idea who the other person was. “Who?”
“Freshman Number 056, Su Huiqing.” As Su Huiqing’s performance was too exceptional, he had already memorized her name. “Also, Ms Dugu.”
His face was grim as he said that name.
He could not afford to offend the Dugu Family.
Everyone in the International Association knew that Dugu Wu was the Dugu Family’s only female descendant, and very much doted upon by the Dugu Family matriarch.
She held a very high status within the Dugu Family.
His life was as good as forfeited if the Dugu Family knew that Ms Dugu had gone missing from under his care.
Yu Shijin turned abruptly. “Wake these people up and give me a copy of the map. Also…” He slowly read out a string of numbers. “This is a cell phone number. Use the global positioning system to get me the location of this number.”
He had scanned the area and knew Su Huiqing still had her cell phone on her.
That was good.
It meant he could still find her.
But it was impossible for him to remain calm at such a moment.
Especially as it concerned Su Huiqing.
“Bai Yi, I cannot promise you that I will be able to keep a low profile and track them quietly.” He called Bai Yi on the phone.
Bai Yi had clearly already received some information from the commander.
“Was Ms Su the one taken away?” He tried to persuade him. “I have investigated this case for nearly 10 years before I was able to locate them. You will end up putting them on the alert. Moreover, I trust that Ms Su knows how to take care of herself.”
Bai Yi had guessed Su Huiqing’s identity.
He didn’t believe that Su Huiqing would take unnecessary risks.
Their foremost concern should be that group of people.
Su Huiqing still had Yu Shijin.
“What do you know?” Yu Shijin saw that chief detective and the team had already arrived. “I won’t risk her.”
“You are insane!” Bai Yi felt that Yu Shijin was very unreasonable.
He had felt a sense of disbelief when he first heard that Yu Shijin was going against Song San.
Now it seemed that there was nothing he wouldn’t do for the sake of this person!
Yu Shijin ignored him and hung up the phone.
His eyes were grim.
He felt that he must lock her up next time. Only then would she not commit foolish actions and risk her life.
Challenging his heart again and again.
It wouldn’t be such a big deal if it was about some other matter.
But this might be related to the “experiment subject”. At this point, Yu Shijin had no idea whether Su Huiqing would be able to maintain her composure when faced with that.
“Master Yu.” Chief detective raised his gun excitedly. “What are we going to do now?”
He had a feeling.
The International Association was the true battlefield.
Whether it was Song San or Apollo, these people were worthy opponents.
They hadn’t had a moment’s rest since coming to the International Association. This sort of work pace was much more suitable for Area 1 people like them.
“When will Chi Yue and Apollo be able to arrive?” Yu Shijin shoved his hands into his pockets, his eyes looking very dark and profound.
Chief detective thought for a moment. “Probably in about half an hour’s time. Unknown Island is quite a distance away.”
At this moment, Yu Shijin was really behaving very calmly.
His voice was also very light.
But the bloodlust in his voice was becoming increasingly dense.
Everyone knew that this version of Yu Shijin was the most dangerous.
That overly-calm expression was spine-chilling.
Yu Shijin took up his cell phone and called Yu Hongchang. The viciousness in his eyes was enough to make one tremble in fear. He said very coldly, “Grandpa, as the next City Lord of the International Battlefield, can I participate in the running for Commander-in-chief of the International Association?”
“Of course.” Yu Hongchang was momentarily taken aback before finally replying.
This was the first time his grandson was showing some initiative in competing with Song San. He felt very comforted at that fact.
“In that case, can I make use of the International Association’s authority as I please?” Yu Shijin continued to ask calmly.
Yu Hongchang nodded. He issued some orders to his subordinates as he replied Yu Shijin. “I will help you register now. It will take effect immediately.”
“That’s good.” The edges of Yu Shijin’s lips curled up slowly.
Those frosty eyes of his continued to look like two bottomless pits.
Lit up by the headlights of the nearby cars, his handsome face appeared overly sharp and harsh.
Chief detective and the gang knew how serious things were.
They stood quietly, straight and erect behind Yu Shijin.
Over this past year, they have witnessed Yu Shijin’s transformation. From discreetly residing in Country Hua’s Green City with no intention of meddling in International Association’s affairs, to inching bit by bit to reclaim his ruler’s throne.
It was like the waking of a majestic lion.
They had no idea what caused Yu Shijin to undergo such a change.
“Lock down all the streets. I want you to personally check all the cars passing through.” Yu Shijin dug out his purple-tinted orchid badge and tossed it at the chief detective. “Whoever tries to resist, send them over to the International Battlefield to me.”
He turned and left.
His black outfit created a lonely arc.
His lowered eyes brimming with malevolence.
This was good. He would make use of this opportunity to seek revenge.
Dark Angels. The laboratory. This time, he would give them a taste of what it was like to be an experiment subject. That wretched agony which made one long for death…
