"And how do you know his name if he is so forgettable?" The first girl who spoke to Kana asked.

"I tattooed his name on my arm!" The second girl replied while pulling her sleeve up and showing the name tattooed on her arm, her cheeks burning red as she did. She was not the most beautiful girl around, but she was still cute with her round face and dimples.

"Pfft! Hahaha! Now that is one way to remember someone who is forgettable." Kana replied. She really couldn't hold back her laughter.

"Hey, don't laugh! That was the only way I could think of at the time to remember his name!" The girl blushed even more.

Haha… But still… Anyway, why don't we introduce ourselves? My name is Mina. I come from a small town a long way from the capitol." Mina said, starting off the introductions.

"My name is Pelia. My friends call me Pel. Since we are all in the same unit, that means we will be sisters from now on. So feel free to call me Pel. I live close to the battle zone so being out in a place like this where the air doesn't smell of blood was nice. Sadly now I have to go back and smell it all over again." Pel also gave her introduction.

"My name is Kana. I did not come from a town or city. I lived deep in the forest with my grandpa until he passed away. Only then did I venture out and made my way to the capital where I was able to meet some kind people who helped me out." Kana made sure she kept to her backstory so that no one besides the King would know the better.

"Wait! You lived deep in the forest!? How were you able to live in a place where strong monsters roam day in and day out?" Mina asked. She was seriously shocked by Kana's story. To hear the forest was more of a death zone than the battlefield!

"Yeah, how? I mean… I have heard stories that the forest is the last place you would want to be since the monsters there are strong enough to take on a thousand men, and still, even then, it is not a hundred percent chance they would win." Pel was also shocked. She could never think of living in the forest for even a day, never mind growing up there.

Kana faked a confused expression as she tilted her head to the side and asked: "Are they not just normal animals used for food?"

"Hah! Kana, my dear, I think only you and your grandpa and maybe the king could say something like that! Do you not know that just a single Melo Toad can kill hundreds of men with its poison breath? There is no cure for it, and no healing abilities will be able to heal the damage it does. Once you get caught in it, you can only count the seconds until you die. No one has ever counted past ten after being hit by such an attack." Pel yelled out. Before going into deep thought. "Wait… if you can survive there, that must mean you're ridiculously strong, so from now on, out of us three sisters, you will be our meat shield."

"Make that four sisters!" Another faint voice came from the side. Everyone turned their heads to see a young girl who was really short standing there. She had on overalls that covered her chest area but no shirt underneath. By chest area, the meant the flat surface one could only call her chest. But the overalls actually stayed tight to her skin without letting anyone peek inside. She had a pair of weird goggles on that had a green tint to the lenses and on her feet were a pair of oversized boots. She looked no more than thirteen to fourteen years of age, but from her facial features, one could think that maybe she was a tad older. This may be due to the black short bowl cut hairstyle she had that went just past her ears.

Her appearance was much different when compared to Pel's round face, dimples, shoulder length brown hair, and a body build that made her look like a runway model from Earth. She wore regular army clothes and seemed to be a very relaxed person. Age wise she looked to be in her low twenties.

As for Mina, she seemed to be in her late teens around Kana's age appearance, eighteen to nineteen range. She was slightly chubbier than the others, but her looks were still not half bad. She had green hair down to her mid back section and seemed to be very outgoing and friendly.

Kana took a good look at these three girls and thought that maybe this battlefield experience wouldn't be so bad after all. At least there were some people she could talk to. Kana smiled and turned to the young girl and asked: "Your name?"

"Ahh, sorry… My name is Yori. I am a magic technician. I come from the capital." Yori replied.

"Magic technician?" Kana was confused since she had never heard of such a thing since she had been here.

"Oh, right you wouldn't know since you grew up in the forest. Yori is a magic technician, and they have a separate recruitment process. She is someone who can make magi bombs. It is a job that requires a lot of intelligence and high knowledge in magic circuitry." Pel, politely explained.

"Oh? I never heard of it before. Maybe some time later you can explain to me how a magi bomb is made, Yori. My name is Kana by the way." Kana did ot know what a magi bomb was but if it was helpful in battle she would definitely like to learn how to make one.

"Pel."

"Mina."

Everyone introduced themselves. For a group who had just first met they were already on friendly terms which was a good thing when you would need to rely on the person next to you to watch your back. "It is a pleasure to meet you all. And for your request Kana, I would be very glad to explain things to you!" Yori's eyes seem to light up at the prospects of being able to talk about her mag bombs with Kana.

"Then I will count on you when the time comes."
