Kana could hardly see anything from the sky, so she had no choice but to make her way into the forest to find a decent camping spot. Even if she could not find any more monsters or strange beastkins, she could always make a base and begin checking out the other planets using the star hopper. Luckily for her, this place seemed to be teeming with not only powerful monsters but also more of those beastkins.

After a long search, Kana happened upon a large tree that had really thick branches. It reminded her of the tree house she built in her dream. "This looks perfect!" Kana smiled as she began clearing out the area of trees for her new temporary home. Log after log was placed just right in the tree, creating an interlocking tree house like she had in her dream. Things were much simpler this time, though, with Ganjo's help. She made sure it was sturdy enough to even support Ganjo, so he did not need to stay outside.

"Not bad!" Kana looked at her new residence and was mighty proud of herself. "Good job Ganjo!"

"All I did was clear the area, Master, nothing too difficult." Ganjo replied humbly.

Kana was currently running through the forest killing anything that attacked her. As long as it showed aggression towards her, she killed it. And ninety percent of everything in the forest was out to kill her. As the days passed, her level quickly rose, but when she hit level, fifty things began to slow down. "This is taking longer than it should!" Kana frowned when she saw that after killing ten monsters, she was unable to even gain a single level.

"Did the experience needed for the next level really go up that high?" Kana wished this new system gave her more information. All she could do was continue killing things.

Kana kept making her way through the forest, which was always nothing but trees and underbrush. Sometimes she ran into a small tribe killing anyone who attacked her. But on this day, Kana ran across something she had not seen before since arriving in this new land. In a very dense area covered in long vines, she found a very strange place. "A city?"

This was all she could see it as since it looked like a highly advanced city compared to other places in the realm. There were destroyed tall buildings all over the place, with moss and vines growing all over everything, one would never have thought such a place exists. Kana waved her hand, burning away some of the vines as she entered what used to be a city street. "What is a city doing in the middle of nowhere..."

Kana walked the streets and looked around. There were strange objects shaped as cubes on the street. Kana walked over to one and noticed they seemed to be some kind of vehicle like a car from Earth. "A very strange style..."

The inside had no steering wheel or anything like that, but it did have a console looking area where Kana assumed the driver would sit. Inside were also a few items that looked like a hat and a shirt. "Nothing in here to tell me who or what used to live here, really."

Kana continued checking a few more vehicles but couldn't find anything that would tell her what kind of people lived here. There were no skeletons or anything like that to tell her anything. She walked over to one of the buildings that had a large tree growing right through it and slipped inside. "This place is… An office building, maybe?" Kana thought, with how she saw a receptionist counter, she could only assume this. She walked over to it and finally found some papers with writing on it, but the language was not anything she could read.

"Hmmm… I guess I will need to see if I can find anything with pictures on it." Sighing, Kana made her way towards the rooms on the first floor, most of which seemed to be meeting rooms. She did, however, find a kitchen. It was a small cafeteria, only enough for twenty or so employees to use at a time. She looked around and found some old boxes of food. She did not dare try any though. Although they seemed still fresh within their packaging, she had no idea what they were made out of. But what didn't sit right with Kana was how there were many trays out on the tables with half eaten meals placed upon them, and just like the packaged food, this food showed no signs of rotting or mold. There were, however, distinct marks where people took bites of the food that was there.

"Why would they just leave so many trays of food here..." Kana found this all very strange. If it was just one or two trays, she could understand that, but there were many, and none of them were knocked over. Nor were there any signs of panic like a big event happening. It seemed more like everyone just disappeared.

Just this thought alone made Kana want to get to the bottom of things. Her interest was piqued, so after leaving the cafeteria, she went and searched the rest of the rooms. Meeting rooms with cups and other meeting materials could be seen placed on the tables. While the cups were empty, You could tell from the stains that were on the inside that there was once fluid inside them. What kind Kana did not know. "I guess I should head up stairs…." The building she was in was four stories tall so she still had three more floors to check. If she found nothing here there was always the building next door or the one across the street.

Just as Kana was about to leave the meeting room Aruya came out of her summon space and looked around. She picked up one of the papers and looked at it. "These meeting notes are some plans for a shelter. A big shelter at that."

"Aruya, you can read the words on the papers!?"
