Chapter 627: Yan Han Was So Frustrated that He Spat Blood

The fate of the entire world was hinging on that one battle.

Not many people thought much about Lu Xuan before this, but if they were to choose between siding with Lu Xuan or Yan Han, everyone would have sided with Lu Xuan without any hesitation.

The battle between Lu Xuan and Yan Han was as spectacular as a battle could get.

One could’ve said that Yan Han had reached the very peak of his constitution, speed, power, and applications of various martial arts.

As a genius known throughout the entire Blessed Enclave, Yan Han’s talents had been proven when he was very young. There were arts that common people would try dozens of times and still fail to be proficient at. Unlike them, Yan Han needed only a single look to pick up, three practices to be sufficiently proficient at, and 10 practices to reach heights that most would only be able to achieve after working at them for over a decade or even decades. He may even eclipse such people in terms of mastery.

It also went without saying that as the sacred son of Taichu Path, he had accumulated great amounts of combat experience when he led the forces of the Taichu Path on expeditions. He had gained so much combat experience that even the likes of the 10 Devils of Bitter Sea, who were known to be one of the most ferocious beings in the world, were forced to submit to him.

While he had not made a breakthrough into the Divine Transformation Realm for long, even Great Ancestor Zhang Cheng and Great Ancestor Shen Jian would have found his mastery in all aspects of the realm astonishing.

He was every bit their equal, perhaps even stronger than them.

Yan Han never faced any kind of problem with picking up any kind of martial arts or spells.

Although everyone knew that was true, Lu Xuan still frightened them even more than Yan Han ever could.

Yan Han was widely recognized as the supreme genius. Many believed that he would be the one to lead the forces of the Blessed Enclave back to Earth and create a new golden era for all.

It had been a while since the limit of combat prowess in all of the Blessed Enclave was locked at the Divine Transformation Realm.

Things had been so for about 1000 years, and very little progress was made. It was a phenomenon that far predated the events of Liu Bowen severing the dragon’s vein. Before then, fighters throughout the world had been limited to the Divine Transformation Realm for an extremely long time.

The only difference was that the number of beings at the Divine Transformation Realm far eclipsed how things were at the moment; there were far more than just several of them back then.

There had been an abundance of fighters who were at the pinnacle, yet only a handful of them was left throughout the entire world since that fateful battle.

The difference was only in quantity, not quality.

In the texts found throughout all sects and clans, there were even records saying that truly supreme beings in far ancient times had once emerged from Earth.

Currently, Divine Transformation Realm beings were known as the best among the earthly sages and bodhisattvas.

Yet, there were also heavenly sages above the earthly ones, as well as those so-called golden sages and whatever else.

Boddhisatva Phalas in the Buddhist systems were divided into various ranks. Buddhas were above the Boddhisatvas, and greater Buddhas were even higher.

Mortals would’ve only thought of them as myths and legends, To mortal beings, those were all probably myths and legends, those beings were real to the clans and sects with heritages and texts depicting them.

It was just that the world had fallen so far that none had been able to make a breakthrough in the greater scale of things. The way many people saw it, Yan Han was probably the only one capable of making such breakthroughs. He could even become those mystical beings depicted in ancient myths and legends.

Many even saw Yan Han to be the so-called fated one born out to bring such tremendous change.

As such, it wasn’t a surprise that someone like him was so powerful.

What truly shocked them, however, was how frighteningly powerful Lu Xuan was.

Lu Xuan was somehow capable of holding his own against Yan Han, who was long been known as someone that should have existed in legends. Additionally, Lu Xuan was never at a disadvantage the whole time.

Lu Xuan’s aura raged like the ocean. It seemed endless as if it could shroud the entire sky.

He relied on nothing more than his pair of iron fists to take apart any kind of attacks that Yan Han threw at him. He was able to fight using his physical might alone. He could’ve easily pulverized low-grade spiritual weapons.

The spectators could even vaguely tell that Yan Han was struggling against Lu Xuan. Even though it was difficult for them to follow everything going on in that battle between the two, they were nonetheless able to see a few things about it.

Yan Han looked like he was throwing out all kinds of spells and moves with ease, bringing about a myriad of changes.

His attacks looked dazzlingly spectacular.

Even then, Lu Xuan’s fists were enough to corner him at every turn. The force generated from his punches was always able to take apart the incoming attacks, forcing Yan Han to switch techniques.

Yan Han could hardly use any of his moves to their fullest potential.

The spectators who were currently present were also some of the best in the world. While they paled in comparison to those two, they were still very experienced in combat. Just from watching the battle, they could easily tell how bad of a situation Yan Han currently was in.

In truth, countless people could see that, as well.

Yan Han was having an extremely hard time; it was as if Lu Xuan had figured out his weaknesses. Regardless of what attack he was able to throw at him, Lu Xuan seemed to have seen them a million times before. This experience allowed Lu Xuan to figure out one’s weaknesses with just a single look.

All of that forced Yan Han to keep switching between other spells and martial arts techniques, yet the result remained utterly unchanged. Regardless of what attack he dealt, none of them were secrets to Lu Xuan.

Lu Xuan’s eyes were vaguely sparkling with golden light; it was his Delusion-breaker Eyes at work.

At the level of power that Lu Xuan was currently in, he only needed to take a single look to see all the openings and weaknesses in Yan Han’s arts, which all seemed flawless at first glance.

Based on his in-depth knowledge of what Yan Han was like back in his past life, every move that Yan Han was able to pull now was far inferior to what he had been capable of back in Lu Xuan’s past life. To Lu Xuan, Yan Han had nothing that he could hide from him.

Pfft!

Blood spilled from Yan Han’s mouth as he backed away. The arm that was holding his spear was shaking slightly, and his eyes were filled with frustration.

Fighting against Lu Xuan was utterly frustrating. The frightening strength that Lu Xuan demonstrated made Yan Han wonder if Lu Xuan’s fists truly were made out of steel.

Every single time his spear hit Lu Xuan’s fists, he felt like he was attacking a divine mountain instead.

On the other hand, Lu Xuan remained completely unfazed the whole time.

Meanwhile, Yan Han was always cornered. Every clash frustrated him so much that he felt like he was about to throw up blood.

He had finally met his match.

Lu Xuan’s moves bore an uncanny resemblance to his. That meant that the man before him was also a jack of all trades. Whether it was power, movements, spells, or techniques, there seemed to be no openings or weaknesses found at all.

At one point, he was able to bully others with his superior, all-rounder abilities. He would overwhelm those who were weaker than him, as well as confuse those who were slower than he was with his frighteningly nimble movements.

He was well-rounded, yet Lu Xuan was an even more accomplished jack of all trades. Lu Xuan seemed stronger and generally better than him in just about anything he excelled in.

He was overwhelmed throughout the entire battle. After fighting for so long, he stopped and immediately spat out blood.

He retreated outside of Lu Xuan’s range of attack.

“What’s going on? Is Yan Han injured?”

Many were surprised by what was happening. While they were able to tell that Yan Han had been struggling the whole time, they could still see the outcome of the battle. Nobody could hide the shock deep in their hearts.
