Villain: The Play of Destiny

chapter-419
"The second God Stone of my Father's Legacy,"
The beautiful black gem in her hand was vibrating in excitement after sensing the presence of its True Inheritor.
Keith did not even have to draw his hand forward to receive it as it flew right over to him as soon as Leilah let go of it.
He smiled as the Gem floated around him as if inspecting and greeting him, and then it suddenly rushed into his chest and sank into his heart, unleashing a flame of darkness from his body, bathing him in a very soothing sensation.
He felt the God Stone connect with the blood in his heart, merging with it, and then wave after wave of new information came crashing into his mind. He was already aware of a lot of things that were revealed to him, but some were new to him, and some were even secrets that only he and Nyx were entitled to know about.When Keith opened his eyes again, he found the Goddess of Night smiling at him, and for a moment, he fell into a trance when he recalled the glimpses of her True Image from the memories of Erebus.
There was likely no girl in existence that could transcend her beauty, and even he was not immune to her charm.
As soon as he regained clarity, he lowered his eyes and looked at the God Ring on his finger, which now had more eerie inscriptions on it, and it was ever darker than before.
"You have them all, don't you?" He asked, quite sure that she had all the God Stones of her Father's Legacy in her hands.
She only smiled at his words when their eyes met again, and Keith understood that she would not say anything about it.
Before they could talk again, their eyes turned to the door that opened to the stairs that led to the platform they were standing on. They had sensed the person who was climbing up the tower, and neither of them stopped her, allowing her to approach them.
A few seconds later, a girl dressed in a black gown knocked on the door and stepped onto the platform, curiously looking around."Your daughter is very beautiful, Lord Keith."
Keith smiled at Leilah's words, and Minami Immediately bowed to Nyx after she heard her words and saw who her father was standing next to.
The place was under an isolation barrier, which was why she had been curious to inspect it. And only now did she understand why Keith had excused himself from the breakfast table as soon as he finished his meal.
"Good morning, Lady Nyx."
"Good morning, Princess." The Lady of the Night smiled at the girl and then drew her hand forward, inviting her to approach her. "Come."
Minami curiously looked at her, and after she glanced at Keith and saw him nod to her, she carefully walked over to the Goddess of Light and Darkness.
Her amethyst eyes looked into Nyx's black eyes when the latter tenderly cupped her cheeks and leaned in, making her briefly fall into a trance at their beauty, and then a cute frown marred her face when she felt her soft lips plant a kiss on her forehead.
"You know, you are very special." Leilah lightly said as she affectionately smiled at Minami, and the latter could only courteously bow to her in thanks, not sure how else to respond to it.
"Thank you."
The Goddess giggled at her response and then engaged the girl in a very miscellaneous conversation. She asked her about what her days were like, and if she enjoyed her time here at the Castle or not. She even talked with her about her training, and how she felt about the improvements in her strength and skills.
Keith frowned a little when he witnessed the affection that Leilah was showing Minami, and then his eyes widened in surprise when he heard her say something and then summon a crown out of nowhere.
"You are his precious Princess, and a Princess is incomplete without her crown." She smiled as she gently placed the beautiful golden crown with strange yet captivatingly beautiful gems on Minami's head.
As soon as the crown was placed on her head, Minami felt a very strange sensation wash over her, and unbeknownst to her, those thirteen gems in her crown seemed to have come to life as they glowed beautifully in ever-changing patterns that resembled the cosmos that her amethyst eyes held within them. They even changed their colours from time to time before they settled on the same shade as her eyes.
The next instant, a beautiful choker-stylised golden necklace appeared on her neck with a single golden-red gem in it, and it too started glowing before it settled down.
Minami curiously touched the piece of jewellery around her neck, and Leilah, having sensed her confusion, whispered the answer in her ear.
"It's a special gift and a very special weapon that suits you. But you must only use it when it is necessary."
"Oh..."
Keith heard her words too, and he frowned some more.
"Thank you." Minami gratefully said to her, and Leilah cupped her cheeks again before planting a kiss on her forehead.
"You are welcome." She said. "Now, I would like to talk to your father. Please, wait a while."
"My apologies." Minami too realised that she was likely to interrupt their conversation and after bowing to Keith and Leilah, she left and closed the door behind her.
"I did not see you dote on Rebecca as much as you just doted on Minami." He smiled.
"Aurora is the youngest of her sisters. The youngest ones are always the ones most doted." She smiled back at him.
"Aurora?" Keith confusedly looked at her.
"Her mother wanted to name her Aurora," She informed him.
Her words confused him just as much as they surprised him.
"You knew her?" He narrowed his eyes as his mind started running wildly.
Leilah stayed silent for a few seconds, keeping a smile on her face, and then she nodded her head.
"I met your daughter before she was born, Lord Keith." She answered and then spoke again before he could raise his next question. "Yes, I was the one who gave her the God Stone because I knew you would find your way to her."
Keith looked into her eyes, quite certain that there was a lot more to what she had just told him, but he could also see that she would not answer another question on the subject.
"Time will give you your answers. However, you don't need them right now," Leilah told him and then turned around to look into the distance. "There's someone special in the Qin Family."
"Their Ancestor," Keith, who had read the Plan of Destiny, nodded to her. He knew that the Qin Ancestor was a Mortal God, who was also the oldest Ashaya on this planet. And now that he knew that Leilah was not just Nyx, but also Wuji, it meant that the Qin Ancestor was part of her Pantheon and definitely under her command.
"Yes. He won't really trouble you, so try not to kill him." She smiled and disappeared from her place, leaving him sighing and chuckling at her words.
She had likely gifted Minami that special weapon so that he would not harm the Tian Pantheon. Not that he intended to, and he was certain she knew about it as well, but she still showed her goodwill.
"System."
{Yes, Host?}
"The Crown?"
{Nyx made it herself for Minami. It is a special Treasure that will protect her from harm and will grow stronger along with her. Those Gems on it are very special, but Nyx has hidden their functions. The System will need to expend Fate Value to look into their details.}
"No need. What about the weapon?"
{It was created by Nyx as well. It is a sword in the shape of a Wicked Blade, and it has an absolute affinity with your Daughter's Powers. It is a weapon bound to her alone, but you can borrow it if you want. However, it will always return to her.}
"What's its Grade?" He curiously asked, and the brief silence from the System made him even more curious. "Yes?"
{In its base form, it is a Hell-Grade Weapon, Host. But it will grow stronger along with your daughter, and it has the potential to attain the Supreme Grade.}
His heart thumped hard against his chest when he heard those words, and Keith's mind started running wildly once again.
Supreme-grade weapons were superior to Divine Weapons, and they were at the pinnacle of the Hierarchy. The devastation that such a weapon was capable of unleashing was unimaginable, and he could not help but feel chills run up his spine.
He was extremely curious now as to why Leilah was so generous to Minami, and he immediately asked the System for the reason.
{My Apologies, Host. The System can not answer your question. However, you can rest assured that Nyx means no harm to you and your daughter.}
"You seem very sure of it."
{The System would never lie to you, Host.}
"I see."
Keith calmed himself down and put his thoughts to rest.
He knew that it was only a matter of time before he received his answers, and as Leilah had suggested, he was going to wait for them. Perhaps, it really was not the right time to learn about certain things.
Also, there were other things he needed to focus on right now, and since his plans had changed once again, he needed to make some arrangements.
"Hey." He smiled when he found Minami waiting for him at the bottom of the Tower, and his dear daughter smiled back, seemingly excited about something.
"I can control them." She told him as she suddenly made the necklace and the crown disappear, and then when she willed it, they appeared again on her head and neck.
Keith noticed that the colour of the Gems had changed again, and this time, it was a beautiful green colour.
"You like them?"
"They are beautiful." She nodded her head. "Do you like them?"
"They suit you." He leaned in and planted a kiss on her forehead, and she smiled a little at his action.
"Lady Nyx kissed me right there earlier." She mischievously spoke.
"I know." He smiled and then pulled her chin up to capture her lips. "Do you want to come to China with me?"
Minami, who was still revelling in his taste, curiously looked into his eyes.
"Yes, but I have made plans with Kiara."
"I see. I am leaving tomorrow, so you can return to Netheria with the rest."
"Yes, Father." She obediently nodded her head to his words, not asking why he needed to go to China all of a sudden, and not insisting to come with him either.
Since she had made a promise to her sister, she was going to keep it.
The two of them then walked towards the main lounge where everyone else was gathered, and on his way, Keith made a call to someone dear to him.
"Yue, meet me in Beijing, tomorrow evening."
The girl on the phone was a little surprised at his words, but she was more than happy to grab a chance to spend some time with him.
"Okay!"
He smiled when he sensed Qingyue's excitement, and then ended the call right before he entered the lounge.
She had always wanted to go to China, and now that he was heading there, he decided to take her with him.
